NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the above-titled public advertisement, which appeared in the Croydon Guardian and London Gazette on 16 January 2020, contained the following anomaly:-
The Schedule to that Notice showing the current business permit charges stated that businesses would be entitled to a maximum of four permits per business. This should have stated that the maximum would be two permits per business (as shown in the Schedule below).
Objections to the proposed controlled parking extension should be received by 12 February 2020.

CROYDON COUNCIL PROPOSED INTRODUCTION OF NEW BUS LANE IN HOGARTH CRESCENT, CROYDON AND AMENDMENT OF WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN HOGARTH CRESCENT, ST JAMES'S ROAD AND WHITEHORSE ROAD, CROYDON
The Croydon (Traffic Movement) (Amendment No. K56) Order 20-The Croydon (Prohibition and Restriction of Stopping, Loading and Waiting)
and (Free Parking Places) (Amendment No. K57) Order 20-The Croydon (On-Street Charged-For Parking Places) (Amendment No.K58) Order 20-
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council propose to make the above Traffic Orders under Section 6 and 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended.

2. The general effect of the Orders would be to:-

(a) Introduce a new bus lane on the north-west and north-east side of Hogarth Crescent, extending from a point 20 metres north­east of the north-eastern kerb-line of St James's Road to a point 2 metres south-east of the common boundary of Nos. 34 and 36 Thornhill Road. The bus lane would be for the use of buses, taxis, pedal cycles and dial-a-ride buses only and operate from Monday to Friday, between 7.30 and 9.30am and between 4 and 7 pm.

(b) Amend the single yellow lines in the locations described in the Schedule to this Notice (currently operational from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Saturday and from 7am to 7pm, Monday to Saturday) to operate "at any time".

(c) The general effect of the Orders would also be to amend the map-based tiles to the Schedules attached to the above Orders so as to accurately represent the new parking and bus lane arrangements as they exist on site.

3. A copy of the proposed Order and all related documents can be inspected until the last day of a period of six weeks beginning with the date on which the Order was made or, as the case may be, the Council decides not to make the Order, between 9am and 4pm on Mondays to Fridays, at the Enquiry Counter, 'Access Croydon' Facility, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA.

5. Persons desiring to object to the proposed Order should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof to the Order Making Section, Parking Design, 6th Floor, Zone C, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, Surrey, CR0 1EA or email Parking.Design@croydon.gov.uk quoting the reference PD/CH/K56, K57 & K58 by 13 February 2020.

6. The Orders are intended to improve bus journey times, maintain good service reliability and increase the capacity of the bus network across the borough to meet growing demand across the borough's bus services.

3. BECKFORD ROAD. CROYDON TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate ducting works

and the installation of a telecoms cabinet, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic movements in Beckford Road.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place Beckford Road will be closed at its junction with Morland Road.

3. Whilst the closure is in force the diversion route for traffic will be via Morland Road, Hermitage Lane, Alderton Road and Beckford Road, or via Morland Road, Northway Road, Alderton Road and Beckford Road, as appropriately signed.

4. The Order will come into operation on 27January 2020 and it is anticipated that the works will be completed within four days between 8am and 5pm each day. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required. The prohibitions will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

(a) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;

(b) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a traffic warden;

FOOTPATH NO.729. BETWEEN GOODHEW ROAD AND MEADVALE ROAD. CROYDON
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIAN TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate alternations to the power network to accommodate proposed residential housing, they have made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrian movements on Footpath No.729

2. Whilst the said works are taking place, no person shall proceed along Public Footpath No.729 which lies between Goodhew Road and Meadvale Road, Croydon.

3. Whilst the Order remains in force the alternative route for pedestrians will be via local routes as appropriately signed.

4. The Order will come into operation on 24 January 2020 and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out in 17 days. However, the Order will remain in force for 6 months to be reintroduced should further works be required. The prohibitions will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.
