PROPOSED SINUSOIDAL SPEED HUMPS - CHANDOS ROAD, DRAYTON ROAD, LIN LEY ROAD, LORDSMEAD ROAD, SPERUNG ROAD, THE AVENUE AND WOODSIDE GARDENS N17
PROPOSED PEDESTRIAN CROSSING - THE AVENUE N17

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Haringey proposes to introduce sinusoidal speed humps under Sections 90A and 90C of the Highways Act 1980 and the Highways (Road Humps) Regulations 1999, and introduce a pedestrian crossing under section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.
2. The proposed sinusoidal speed humps, approximately 5 metres in length, would be introduced at the following locations:-
(a) Chandos Road N17: -
i. alongside the flank walls of No. 8 and No. 10 Wimborne Road and outside Nos. 1 to 4 Seaton;
ii. outside Nos. 20/ 22 and No. 23 Chandos Road;
iii. outside No. 1 Chandos Road/alongside the flank wall of No. 111 The Avenue and alongside the flank wall of No. 109 The Avenue;
(b) Drayton Road N17: -
i. outside No. 49 Drayton Road and alongside the flank wall of No. 26 Wimborne Road;
ii. outside Nos. 26/28 and Nos. 27/29 Drayton Road;
iii. outside Nos. 2 and 3 Drayton Road;
(c) Linley Road N17: -
i. alongside the flank walls of Nos. 44 and 46 Lordsmead Road;
ii. alongside the flank walls of Nos. 43 and 45 Lordsmead Road;
(d) Lordsmead Road N17:-
i. outside Nos. 8/10 and 7/9 Lordsmead Road;
ii. outside Nos. 30/32 and 29/31 Lordsmead Road;
iii. outside No. 52 and 51/53 Lordsmead Road;
iv. outside Nos. 74/76 and 71 Lordsmead Road;
(e) Sperling Road N17:-
i. outside No. 73 Sperling Road and Bruce Grove Primary School, replacing an existing speed cushion;
ii. outside Nos. 30/32 and 105 Sperling Road replacing an existing speed cushion;
(f) The Avenue N17:-
i. outside No. 1 The Avenue/alongside the flank wall of No. 17 Bruce grove and outside Maple Court;
ii. outside No. 27 The Avenue and No. 16 The Avenue;
iii. outside Nos. 42/44 and 53/55 The Avenue;
iv. outside Nos. 79/81 and No. 70 The Avenue;
v. outside Nos. 118/120 and Nos. 117/119 The Avenue replacing an existing speed cushion;
vi. outside Nos. 136/138 The Avenue and Coleshill;
vii. alongside the flank No. 153 Mount Pleasant Road and No.135 The Avenue;
viii.outside Nos. 149/151 and Nos. 158/160 The Avenue;
ix. outside Nos. 169/171 and No. 176 The Avenue
x. outside Nos. 183 and 192/194 The Avenue
xi. outside Nos. 199/201 and 210/212 The Avenue
(g) Woodside Gardens N17: -
i. outside No. 29A, Hamilton Place and Nos. 24a and 24b Woodside Gardens;
ii. outside Nos. 47/49 and 42/44 Woodside Gardens;
iii. outside nos. 67/69 and 62/64 Woodside Gardens
The sinusoidal speed humps would be approximately 75 millimetres in height, with gradients of 1:15 to 1:20 on the ramps and would extend across the full width of the carriageway.
3. It is also proposed that a zebra pedestrian crossing would be introduced in The Avenue, with the centre located alongside the flank walls of Nos. 153 and 155 The Avenue, the crossing would be supported with associated zig-zag markings, on which vehicles would be prohibited from stopping at all times, which would be placed on the carriageway either side of the crossing, extending approximately 16 metres from either side;
4. A plan showing the locations of the speed humps and pedestrian crossing may be inspected for a period of 21 days from the date of this Notice during normal office working hours at the reception desk, Alexandra House, 10 Station Road, Wood Green, N22 7TR or can be viewed online at

5. Any person desiring to object to the proposals or make other representation should send a statement in writing of either their objection and the grounds thereof or of their representation to the Traffic Management Group, River Park House, 1st floor, 225, High Road, Wood Green, N22 8HQ or to
within 21 days from the date of this Notice.
