PARISHES OF STOKE ST MARY AND RUISHTON Temporary Closure of Footpaths T 22/20 T 26/4 and T 26/12 order 2019
TAKE NOTICE that in pursuance of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Procedure Regulations 1992 The Secretary of State for Transport in exercise of his powers under section 15(5) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, has approved an extension to the above Order for a period of twelve months from 13 January 2020 to 13 January 2021 or until such time as the works are completed.
The original Order came into effect on 13 July 2019 as there is a danger to the public whilst the M5 Junction 25 capacity improvements are taking place. The Order PROHIBITS ALL TRAFFIC from proceeding along Footpath T 22/20 from the A358 at Junction 25 running south for 40 metres to the parish boundary and Footpath T 26/4 from the parish boundary running south west for 300 metres and Footpath T 26/12 from its junction with footpath T 26/4 running south east for 260 metres. Whilst the closures are in place alternative routes will be available to the south of the site and along footpaths T 26/12, T 22/18 and the footway beside theA358.
