CITY OF YORK COUNCIL TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that City of York Council (the Council), in exercise of powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (the Act), made an Order on the 9th day of January 2020 in respect of each of the locations numbered (1), (2) and (3). Additionally, the Council, not less than 7 days from the publication of this Notice, intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Act in respect of each of the locations numbered (4), (5), (6), (7), (8) and (9).
Ml STAMFORD BRIDGE ROAD (A1661. YORK This Order restricts vehicles to 40 miles per hour (mph) in that length of Stamford Bridge Road (A166), York between the projected western property boundary line of Providence Farm, Stamford Bridge Road and the projected northern property boundary line of Manorford House, Stamford Bridge Road (restricted road) during the period when carriageway lining and marking works being undertaken thereon, commencing at 1000hrs on the 13th day of January 2020 and ending at 1500hrs on the 17th day of January 2020 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely.
(21 EVELYN CRESCENT. YORK This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Evelyn Crescent, York between its junction with Horner Street and a point 22 metres south west of the said junction (closed road) during the period when water connection works being undertaken thereon, that period commencing at 0001 hrs on the 13th day of January 2020 and ending at 2400hrs on the 17th day of January 2020 or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. No alternative route for diverted traffic will be available during the works period.
(31 CARMELITE STREET. YORK This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Carmelite Street, York (closed road) during the period commencing at 0001 hrs on the 14th day of January 2020 and ending at 2400hrs on the 15th day of January 2020 or at a time when nearby building maintenance works being undertaken by crane operation from the closed road have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.
(4) ROCHE AVENUE. YORK This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Roche Avenue, York (closed road) during the period commencing at 0001 hrs on the 20th day of January 2020 and ending at 2400hrs on the 7th day of February 2020 (works period) or at time when gas works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. No alternative route for diverted traffic will be available during the works period.
(51 HOWE STREET. YORK This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Howe Street, York between its junction with Severus Street and a point 20 metres west of the said junction (closed road) during the period commencing at 0001 hrs on the 20th day of January 2020 and ending at 2400hrs on the 2nd day of February 2020 (works period) or at time when sewer connection works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. Additionally, the access restriction on vehicles access /egress from Howe Street/School Street is suspended during the works period to facilitate the diversion route to be put in place. An alternative route for diverted vehicles will be signed during the works period.
(61 SANDRINGHAM STREET. YORK
This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Sandringham Street, York (closed road) during the period commencing at 0800hrs on the 22nd day of January 2020 and ending at 1800hrs on the 23rd day of January 2020 (works period) or at time when water connection works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. No alternative route for diverted traffic will be available during the works period.
(71 PARK LANE. YORK This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Park Lane, York (closed road) during the period commencing at 0800hrs and ending at 1630hrs on the 22nd day of January 2020 (works period) or at time when replacement of carriageway directional signage works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be available during the works period.
(81 ASCOT WAY. YORK This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Ascot Way, York between its junctions with Kingsway West and Ashford Place (closed road) during the period commencing at 0001 hrs on the 23rd day of January 2020 and ending at 2400hrs on the 24th day of January 2020 (works period) or at time when water connection works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be available during the works period.
(91 MARKHAM STREET. YORK This order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Markham Street, York (closed road) during the period commencing at 0001 hrs on the 27th day of January 2020 and ending at 2400hrs on the 21 st day of February 2020 (works period) or at time when gas works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. No alternative route for diverted traffic will be available during the works period.
The above temporary Orders will not prohibit works or emergency access nor will they prohibit access to premises provided that access is not prevented by on-going works or safety concerns. Traffic signs/barriers will indicate the extent of the prohibitions/restrictions.
