WANDSWORTH COUNCIL
THE WANDSWORTH (ALTON ROAD) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2019
WHEREAS the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth ("the Council") being the Highway Authority for Alton Road is satisfied that traffic on the said road in the said London Borough should be restricted to facilitate the delivery of heavy plant equipment ("the works").
NOW THEREFORE the Council in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 (1) and (3) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984(a) and of all other enabling powers hereby makes the following Order:-
1. This Order shall come into operation on 6 January 2020 and may be cited as The Wandsworth (Alton Road) (Temporary Restriction of Traffic) Order 2019.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place, no vehicle shall enter, proceed or wait along Alton Road outside number 74.

3. Nothing in Article 2 above shall apply to anything done :-

(a) with the permission or at the direction of a Police Constable in uniform or a person authorised by the Council; or

(b) by any person using a vehicle for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposed or by the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency; or

(c) by any person associated with the works.

4. This order shall continue in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until such time as the works are completed. Whichever is the earliest.
