(A701 Tweedsmuir to the Dumfries and Galloway
Boundary) (Temporary Closing) No 2 Order 2019
The Scottish Borders Council (A701 Tweedsmuir to the Dumfries and Galloway
Boundary) (Temporary Closing) No 2 Order 2019 has been made under Section
14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which
has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 7 January 2020
and is expected to remain in effect until 17 January 2020 between the hours
of 09:00 and 17:00 on weekdays only. The road will be open over the weekend
of 11 and 12 January 2020. The Order is required for patching works.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to
be driven any vehicle along the A701 from Tweedsmuir to the Dumfries and
Galloway boundary.
The alternative route for southbound traffic is via the A701, A72, A702, B7076 and
A701 to the point of closure, for northbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.
Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained with minor delays.
(Peebles High School Safety Works)
(Temporary One Way) Order 2019
The Scottish Borders Council (Peebles High School Safety Works) (Temporary
One Way) Order 2019 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration
of 18 months, will come into force on 6 January 2020 and is expected to remain
in effect until 24 April 2020 - 24 hour restriction. The Order is required to ensure
public and road safety while construction works are taking place at Peebles
High School.
When the Order comes into effect, a One Way Order in a westerly direction shall
be in force along Craigerne Lane, Peebles from the Craigerne Lane cul-de-sac
to Craigerne Drive. No person shall drive any vehicle in an easterly direction.
The alternative route for eastbound traffic is west on Craigerne Lane, north
on Edderston Road, east on Caledonian Road, southeast on Springhill Road,
southwest on Springwood Road, south on Bonnington Road and west on
Craigerne Lane to the point of restriction.
(Peebles High School Transport)
(Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2020
The Scottish Borders Council (Peebles High School Transport) (Temporary Traffic
Regulation) Order 2020 has been made under Section 62 of the Roads (Scotland)
Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months,
will come into force on 6 January 2020 and is expected to remain in effect until
31 January 2020 on weekdays only. The Order is required in the interests of
public safety and to safely manage the transportation of school pupils to and
from Peebles High School and Galashiels Academy. Pedestrian access will
be maintained.
When the Order comes into effect, no person shall (i) drive or cause or permit
to be driven any vehicle, or (ii) permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked, along
those lengths of road and car park on the dates and at the times detailed in
the Schedule below.

No Waiting – Galashiels
Parking will be prohibited on both sides of Livingstone Place, Galashiels –
from the Focus Centre to the Swimming Pool from Monday 6 January to
Thursday 9 January 2020, between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00 each day
Road Closure – Galashiels
Livingstone Place, Galashiels – from the Focus Centre to the Swimming Pool,
will be closed to vehicular traffic from Monday 6 January to Thursday 9 January
2020, between the hours of 14:50 and 15:20 each day
No Waiting – Peebles
Parking will be prohibited on Kingsmeadows Road, Peebles – from outside
number 8 to number 3 Kingsmeadows Road, on the following dates, between
the hours of 08:00 and 17:30 each day:
Monday 6 January to Friday 10 January 2020
Monday 13 January to Friday 17 January 2020
Monday 20 January to Friday 24 January 2020
Monday 27 January to Friday 31 January 2020
Car Park Closure – Peebles
Kingsmeadows car park will be closed to vehicular traffic on the following dates,
between the hours of 08:00 and 17:30 each day:

Monday 20 January to Friday 24 January 2020
Monday 27 January to Friday 31 January 2020
