Somerset County Council District of Somerset West & Taunton Parish of Taunton Temporary Closure of The Avenue
TAKE NOTICE that in pursuance of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the County Council of Somerset propose to make an Order PROHIBITING ALL TRAFFIC from proceeding along The Avenue from 35m north of the junction with Staplegrove Road, northwards for a distance of 50 metres.
This order will enable Utility Services Ltd to carry out poling works on behalf of BT Openreach. The Order becomes effective on 22 January 2020 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to last for 3 days (09:30-15:30). Please visit
