Mr Trevor Brown FRICS Appeal Panel – 21 January 2015

On 16 September 2014 a Disciplinary Panel heard a case against Mr Trevor Brown who was charged with failing to avoid any actions or situations that were inconsistent with his professional obligations ().
The Panel found this charge not proved.

Mr Brown was also charged for not carrying out professional work with due skill, care and diligence and with proper regard for the technical standards expected of him in relation to compliance with the RICS Valuation – Professional Standards 2012 ().
The Panel found the charge proved and imposed a Caution, and ordered Mr Brown to pay a contribution towards RICS’ costs.

Mr Brown appealed the Disciplinary Panel’s order for publication and this was considered by an Appeal Panel on 21 January 2015.
The Panel concluded that the Disciplinary Panel was not wrong in their decision and therefore ordered full publication and awarded a contribution towards costs.
