Temporary Closure of Bridge Street, Lyme Regis -Phase 1

DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along BRIDGE STREET, LYME REGIS- PHASE 1 between its junction with Coombe Street and Lyme Regis Tourist Information Centre, a distance of approximately 30 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 6 January 2020 and will remain in force for 18 months. however it is anticipated thatthe works will be completed by17 January2020.

This Order will enable O'Brien Building Ltd, safe access to set up scaffolding and replace oriel window that was damaged by high sided vehicle.

An alternative vehicular route will be signed using; A3052 - A35 - A358 - A3052. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along BRIDGE STREET, LYME REGIS - PHASE 2 between Tourist Information Centre and Coombe Street, a distance of approximately 40 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 20 January 2019 and will remain in force for 18 months. however it is anticipated thatthe works will be completed by 14 February 2020

This Order will enable SGN, safe access to carry out gas mains replacement works.
