Notice is hereby given that the Trustees of the Optima Enclosures Limited Retirement Benefits Scheme (the "Scheme") have commenced the process of winding up the Scheme. Please note that for a short period, the Scheme was known as the McKettrick Agnew & Co Ltd Pension Fund, but it changed its name in 1963. The Trustees have written to all members and beneficiaries currently receiving benefits or with a known entitlement to future benefits under the Scheme.
The Scheme provides benefits for, and in respect of, employees ?f Optima Enclosures Limited, the manufacturing firm based in Macmerry, East Lothian, prior to its closure in 2003. If you have not recently been contacted but believe you have an entitlement to any benefit from, or interest in, the Scheme by reason of your own or a relative's or any other person's full or part-time employment with Optima Enclosures Limited, you are required to send particulars in writing of your entitlement or interest (together with your full name, present address, date of birth and copies of all documents which support your claim) to Deborah McWhinney, Mercer Limited, 2nd Floor, Bedford House, Bedford Street, Belfast, BT2 7DX, within two months of the date of publication of this notice. Following the expiry of the two month period referred to above, the Trustees will distribute the remaining assets of the Scheme as part of the wind-up. In distributing the assets, the Trustees will have regard only to individuals who have provided notice of their valid claims and entitlements, and will not be liable to or in respect of any other person.
Any individuals who have already been contacted by the Trustees about this matter should not respond to this notice as the Trustees already have details of their claims and entitlements.
