M25 MOTORWAY JUNCTIONS 20 -21A TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that Highways England Company Limited intends to make an Order on the M25 Motorway in the County of Hertfordshire, under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because works areproposed to be executed on the road. The effect of the Order would be to authorise the phased overnight closureof:-
a) both carriageways of the M25 between Junction 20 (A41/A4251) and Junction 21A (A405);

b) the road leading to the clockwise carriageway of the M25 at Junction 20 (A41);

c) the road leading from the anti-clockwise carriageway of the M25 at Junction 20 (A41);

d) all of the roads connecting both carriageways of the M25 to and from both carriageways of the M1 at Junction 21 (M1 Junction 6A);

e) the road leading from the clockwise carriageway of the M25 at Junction 21A (A405); and

f) the road leading to the anti-clockwise carriageway of the M25 at Junction 21A (A405).

These measures would be in the interests of road safety while contractors undertake street lighting, road-marking and stud replacement, signage, site investigations, and all associated works.
It is expected that the work would last for approximately 9weeks starting on or after Monday 6th January 2020. The overnight closures would take place as follows (maximum period) -
Monday-Thursdays 22:00-05:30
Fridays 23:00-06:00
Saturdays 22:00-06:00
Sundays 22:30-05:30

The Order would come into force on 4January 2020 and have amaximum duration of eighteen months, ceasing when the works arecomplete.
Traffic affected by the closures would be diverted using other junctions on the M25 and M1 and by using the A41 and A405. The diversion in operation would vary according to the closureinforce. The temporary closures and diversion routes would be clearly indicated by traffic signs when they are in operation during the works period.
