IMPLEMENTATIONS OF PEDESTRIAN CROSSING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Swindon Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, intend to Implement pedestrian crossings at the following locations:
Bridge End Road
Introduction of zebra crossing outside No 13 Bridge End Road and west of the Dockle Farmhouse.
Westfield Way
Introduction of Puffin Controlled Crossing outside Haydonleigh Primary School Playing Fields.
Thames Avenue
Introduction of zebra crossing outside Morrisons Supermarket.
Grange Drive
Introduction of zebra crossing between the junction of Yiewsley Crescent and Crawley Avenue
Devizes Road, Wroughton
Introduction of zebra crossing west of Barrett Way.
Swinley Drive
Introduction of zebra crossing between Shearwood Road and Nightwood Copse
Drove Road
Introduction of puffin crossing at the location of the existing pedestrian refuge outside Cirencester Court.
The above crossings are to be delivered as part of the Pedestrian Crossing Review 2014/15 which aims to contribute towards achieving road safety objectives of reducing pedestrian accidents, promote walking and cycling and address community concerns.
A copy of this public notice and plan may be inspected at the One-Stop-Shop, Wat Tyler House, Euclid Street, Swindon during normal office hours and online at www.swindon.gov.uk/highwayregulation.
Any person wishing to comment on the proposal outlined above should do so in writing to the undersigned quoting reference (ZA/2014-15 Pedestrian Review) by no later than 6 March 2015.
