(Maldon Road/Newland Street/Collingwood Road, Witham) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) & (The Avenue, Witham) (Temporary Introduction of 20mph Speed Limit) Order 2019
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of Maldon Road, Witham in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Newland Street for a distance of approximately 40m in a southeasterly direction.
2. To temporarily close that length of Newland Street, Witham in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Maldon Road to its junction with Collingwood Road, a distance of approximately 60m.
3. To temporarily close that length of Collingwood Road, Witham in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Newland Street for a distance of approximately 45m in a northwesterly direction.
4. To temporarily introduce a 20mph speed limit in that length of The Avenue, Witham in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Newland Street to its junction with Collingwood Road, a distance of approximately 415m.
The closures are scheduled to commence on 13/01/20 for 10 days (please note Newland Street will only be closed at night), or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2287335A - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while junction renewal works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
Alternative routes are available via
1. Newland Street, The Grove, Maldon Road and vice versa.
2. Newland Street, The Avenue, Collingwood Road and vice versa.
3. Collingwood Road, The Avenue, Newland Street and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 12/12/19 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Hedingham Road, Wethersfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2019
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Hedingham Road, Wethersfield in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Blackmore End to its junction with Prayors Hill, a distance of approximately 5810m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 14/01/20 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2288172 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while gully repair works are undertaken by Essex County Council. An alternative route is available via Prayors Hill, Rectory Road, Swan Street, Potter Street, Queen Street, Braintree Road, Hedingham Road, Church Road, Parkhall Road, Beazley End, Blackmore End, Pattens Farm Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 12/12/19 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Nounsley Road, Hatfield Peverel) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2019
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Nounsley Road, Hatfield Peverel in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 20m east of its junction with Sportsmans Lane for a distance of approximately 80m in an easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 14/01/20 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03010570500 -Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
An alternative route is available via London Road, Hatfield Peverel Bypass, The Street, Maldon Road, Ulting Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 12/12/19 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Fairstead Hall Road, Fairstead) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2019
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Fairstead Hall Road, Fairstead in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Fairstead Road for a distance of approximately 110m in a southwesterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 06/01/20 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30034827588 - UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while small connection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Beazley End, Wethersfield in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Codham Little Park Drive for a distance of approximately 310m in a northerly direction. (Constable Way, Black Notley) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2019
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Constable Way, Black Notley in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Mary RuckWay to its junction with Turner Close, a distance of approximately 70m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 09/12/19 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2287183 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while ironwork replacement works are undertaken by Essex County Council. (Various Roads, Braintree) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of 30 MPH Speed Limit) & (Temporary Introduction of Clearway) (Streetworks No.17) Order 2019
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close those various lengths of roads in the District of Braintree as detailed in the Schedule.
2. To temporarily introduce a 30mph speed limit in the various lengths of road as detailed in the schedule.
3. A temporary 'No Waiting' restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the various lengths of roads as specified in the schedule for the duration of the restrictions in order to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.
4. "The Essex County Council (Braintree District) (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (Consolidation) Order 2008" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'NoWaiting atAny Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The works are scheduled to commence after 28/11/19, as stated on a valid permit. The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on www.roadworks.org. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.
The restrictions are required for the safety of the public and workforce while superfast installation cabling works are undertaken by County Broadband
The Order came into effect on 28/11/19 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Mill Road, Finchingfield in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 745m south of its junction with Kempe Road for a distance of approximately 140m in a southerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 15/12/19 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC005CB1W0EA3UKR09CSVER2 - BT). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on www.roadworks.org. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while aerial cable works are undertaken by BT.

(Various Roads, District of Braintree) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Clearway) (No.9) Order 2018
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close the various lengths of road in the District of Braintree as specified in the Schedule 1 to this Order.
2. A temporary 'No Stopping' restriction will be introduced on both sides of the carriageway of those roads as specified in Schedule 1 and 2 for the duration of the closure to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Stopping restriction will be in force.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Rose Hill, Braintree in the District of Braintree, from its junction with The Yard for a distance of approximately 95m in a northwesterly direction.
