THE A41 (EDGWARE WAY) (LONDON BOROUGH OF BARNET) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2019
1. Transport for London hereby gives notice that it has made the above-named Traffic Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 for the purpose specified in paragraph 2. The effects of the Order is summarised in paragraph 3.

2. The purpose of the Order is to enable carriageway resurfacing works to take place on the A41 Edgware Way eastbound and westbound.

3. The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any vehicle from:

(1) entering, exiting or proceeding on the northbound carriageway of the A41 Edgware Way from its junction with Edgwarebury Lane to the administrative boundary between the London Borough of Barnet and Hertfordshire County Council including the western half of Spur Road roundabout;

(2) entering, exiting or proceeding on the southbound carriageway of the A41 Edgware Way from the administrative boundary between the London Borough of Barnet and Hertfordshire County Council to its Junction with Edgwarebury Lane including the eastern half of Spur Road roundabout.

Highways England will be closing the on and off-slip roads connecting Edgware Way with the M1 Motorway The Order will be effective at certain time from 9th December 2019 until 10th July 2020 every night, between 10:00 PM and 5:00 AM or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The prohibition will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.
4. The prohibitions will not apply in respect of:

(1) any vehicle being used for the purposes of those works or for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;

(2) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a person authorised by Transport for London.

5. At such times as the prohibitions are in force an alternative route will be indicated by traffic signs via (for the closure of Edgware Way) Edgwarebury Lane, Station Road, High Street, Stonegrove and Brockley Hill or the reverse to normal route of travel, (for traffic wishing to access the M1 Motorway at junction 4) Edgwarebury Lane, Station Road, High Street, Stonegrove, Brockley Hill, Watford Bypass, Tylers Way, Elton Way, North Western Avenue and Berrygrove Interchange to normal route of travel, (for traffic wishing to exit the M1 Motorway at junction 4) M1 Motorway, North Circular Road (eastbound), Hendon Way, Watford Way, Edgware Way, Edgwarebury Lane, Station Road, High Street and Stonegrove to normal route of travel.
