Monken Hadley Common Bill
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that application is being made to Parliament by the Churchwardens of Monken Hadley Parish Church, in the County of Middlesex ("the Churchwardens") for leave to introduce a Bill ("the Bill") under the above name or short title, the purposes of which the following is a concise summary:
1. To provide for the transfer of the ownership and management of Monken Hadley Common from the Churchwardens to the Monken Hadley Common Trust ("the Trust"). The Trust must be registered by the Charity Commission as either a charitable incorporated organisation or a charity before the transfer can take place.
2. To transfer all the rights and liabilities of the Churchwardens that have been acquired or incurred in connection with the Common to the Trust.
3. To provide for a duty on the Trust to use its reasonable endeavors to exercise its functions in a manner consistent with the primary objects described in the Bill.
4. To enable the Trust to grant easements and other rights over the Common to the owners or occupiers of land adjacent to the Common.
5. To enable the Trust to grant and renew leases over any part of the Common which is not registered common land to the owners or occupiers of land adjoining the Common.
6. To enable the Trust to make regulations to secure the good management of the Common.
7. To disapply provisions of an Act of 1777 relating to the Common.
8. To end the incorporation of the Churchwardens under the said 1777 Act.
On and after 4th December 2019 a copy of the Bill may be inspected and copies thereof may be obtained at the price of £1.00 each at the offices of Boyes, Sutton and Perry Solicitors Limited, 20 Wood Street, Barnet EN5 4BJ, and at the offices of the undermentioned Parliamentary Agents. Objection to the Bill may be made by depositing a Petition against it. If the Bill originates in the House of Commons the latest date for depositing such a Petition in the Private Bill Office of that House will be 30th January 2020. If the Bill originates in the House of Lords the latest date for depositing such a Petition in the Office of the Clerk of the Parliaments in that House will be 6th February 2020.
