NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bury Metropolitan Borough Council proposes to make the above named Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended. The effect of the Order is to introduce the operation of snow gates preventing entry to motorised vehicles when weather conditions warrant closure of the road, as follows:-

Rawsons Rake, Ramsbottom - Full length

Chapel Lane, Ramsbottom - Between Public Footpath 61, Ramsbottom and Rake Fold

(Fixed snow gates to be positioned immediately to the east of Public Footpath 61, Ramsbottom and at the junction of Rawsons Rake/Dundee Ln) A copy of the draft Order and plan showing roads and area affected and a statement of the Council's reasons for making the Order may be inspected at the reception desk at 3 Knowsley Place, Duke St Bury BL9 OSP during normal office hours. Objections to the proposals, together with the grounds on which they are made must be made in writing and sent to Highway Network Management, 3 Knowsley Place, Duke St, Bury or by email to

quoting ref TM2/19/461 by 20/12/19.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14(1) THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY (SEDDON STREET, BURY) TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2019 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury intend in not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicles from proceeding along:-
