CROYDON COUNCIL PROPOSED INTRODUCTION OF WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN VARIOUS LOCATIONS IN CROYDON The Croydon (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (No.8) Traffic Order, 2019
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council, on 25 November 2019 made the above Traffic Order under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and all other enabling powers.
2. The general effect of the Order will be to introduce "at any time" double yellow line waiting restrictions in the lengths of streets specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice, a single yellow line in the length of street specified in Schedule 2 to this Notice and loading restrictions in the location specified in Schedule 3 to this Notice.
3. A copy of the Order, which will come into operation on the 29 November 2019, can be inspected between 9am and 4pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, at the "Access Croydon" Facility, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk Croydon, CRO 1EA.
4. Copies of the Order may be obtained from Parking Design, 6* Floor, Zone C, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk Croydon, CRO 1EA.
5. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made there under have not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

SCHEDULE 1
(Introducing double yellow line waiting restrictions "at any time") Allenby Avenue
- The north-east side, from the south-eastern kerb-line of Brighton Road south-eastwards for a distance of 14.5 metres;
- The south-west side, from the south-eastern kerb-line of Brighton Road south-eastwards for a distance of 20 metres.
Amberley Grove
The north-east side, increasing the length of the existing double yellow lines that extend from the cul-de-sac north-westwards by 3.5 metres. Ardfern Avenue
= Both sides, from the south-eastern kerb-line of Ederline Avenue south-eastwards for a distance of 7 metres;
- Both sides, either side of its junction with Melrose Avenue for a distance of 7 metres;
- Both sides, either side of its junction with Kilmartin Avenue for a distance of 7 metres.
Beulah Hill
- The north-east side, for a distance of 10 metres either side of its junction with Elizabeth Way;
- The south-west side, for a distance of 10 metres either side of its junction with Menlo Gardens;
- The access road fronting Nos. 60 to 70 Beulah Hill, the south-west side, from the north-western kerb-line of Elizabeth Way northwestwards for a distance of 15 metres.
Brighton Road, South Croydon
The south-east side, for a distance of 11 metres north-east and 9.5 metres south-west of its junction with Allenby Avenue.
Brookside Way
- The nortrnwest side, from the north-eastern kerb-line of Bywood Avenue north-eastwards for a distance of 10 metres;
- The south-west side, from the north-eastern kerb-line of Bywood Avenue north-eastwards for a distance of 8 metres.
Bywood Avenue
The north-east side
- For a distance of 10 metres either side of its junction with Chaffinch Avenue;
- For a distance of 10 metres either side of its junction with Brookside Way;
The south-west side
- For a distance of 10 metres north-west and 19 metres south-east of its north-western junction with the Rosery;
- For a distance of 7.5 metres north-west and 8 metres south-east of its south-eastern junction with the Rosery.
Chaffinch Avenue
- The north-west side, from the north-eastern kerb-line of Bywood Avenue north-eastwards for a distance of 9 metres;
- The south-east side, from the north-eastern kerb-line of Bywood Avenue north-eastwards for a distance of 10 metres;

The north-east side
- For a distance of 7 metres either side of its junction with Ederline Avenue;
The south-west side

- For a distance of 7 metres north-west and 10 metres south-east of its junction with Melrose Avenue;
- For a distance of 7 metres either side of its junction with Kilmartin Avenue.
Dunbar Avenue
- Both sides, for a distance of 7 metres either side of its junction with Ederline Avenue;
- Both sides, for a distance of 7 metres either side of its junction with Melrose Avenue;
- Both sides, for a distance of 7 metres either side of its junction with Kilmartin Avenue.
Ederline Avenue
The south-east side
- For a distance of 6 metres north-east and 7 metres south-west of its junction with Ardfern Avenue;
- For a distance of 7 metres north-east and 7 metres south-west of its junction with Dunbar Avenue;
- for a distance of 7 metres either side of its junction with Dalmeny Avenue;
The north-west side
- For a distance of 7 metres either side of its junction with Dunbar Avenue;
- For a distance of 7 metres either side of its junction with Dalmeny Avenue.
Elizabeth Way
- The south-western arm, both sides, between the north-eastern kerb-line of Beulah Hill and the south-western kerb-line of Beulah Hill access road fronting Nos. 60 to 68a Beulah Hill;
- The north-eastern arm, from the south-eastern kerb-line of the southwestern arm of Elizabeth Way south-eastwards for a distance of 8 metres.
Factory Lane
- The north and north-east side, extending the existing double yellow lines opposite the junction with Enterprise Way south-eastwards for a distance of 13 metres;
- The south and south-west side, joining the existing double yellow lines at the junction with Enterprise Close to those at the entrance to the access road opposite No. 52 Factory Lane.
Kilmartin Avenue
- The north side, either side of its junction with Ardfern Avenue for a distance of 7 metres;
- The south side, from a distance 7 metres north-east to a point 8 metres south-west of its junction with Ardfern Avenue;
- Both sides for a distance of 7 metres north-east and 7 metres southwest of its junction with Dunbar Avenue;
- Both sides, from the south-western kerb-line of Dalmeny Avenue south-westwards for a distance of 7 metres.

Melrose Avenue
- Both sides, either side of its junction with Ardfern Avenue for a distance of 7 metres;

Menlo Gardens
Both sides, from the south-western kerb-line of Beulah Hill south-westwards for a distance of 8 metres.
Mitchley Hill
The south side, extending the existing double yellow lines at the junction with Mitchley View eastwards for a distance of 7.5 metres. Old Farleigh Road The north-east side,
- Extending the existing double yellow lines at the junction with Dulverton Road south-eastwards for a distance of 10 metres;
- Extending the existing double yellow lines from the junction with Sundale Avenue north-westwards for a distance of 10 metres;
The south-west side, from a point opposite the common boundary of Nos. 14 and 16 Old Farleigh Road south-eastwards for a distance of 53.5 metres. Robert Street
Upgrading the existing single yellow lines, currently operational from 8am to midnight throughout the week, to double yellow lines operating "at any time".
The Rosery
The north-western junction with Bywood Avenue,
- The north-west side, from the south-western kerb-line of Bywood Avenue south-westwards for a distance of 9 metres;
- The south-east side, from the south-western kerb-line of Bywood Avenue south-westwards for a distance of 11 metres;
The south-eastern junction with Bywood Avenue,
- The north-west side, from the south-western kerb-line of Bywood Avenue south-westwards for a distance of 6 metres;
- The south-east side, from the south-western kerb-line of Bywood Avenue south-westwards for a distance of 9.5 metres.
SCHEDULE 2
(Introducing single yellow line waiting restrictions operating from 7am to Midnight throughout the week)
High Street, Croydon
The north-east side, from the common boundary of Nos. 111 and 111a High Street, Croydon to a point 2.5 metres south-east of a point opposite the common boundary of Nos. 230 and 242 High Street, Croydon.
SCHEDULE 3
(Introducing loading restrictions operating from 7am to 7pm, Mon-Sat) High Street, Croydon
The east side, from the northern kerb-line of Mint Walk northwards for a distance of 60 metres.
CROYDON COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT. 1984. SECTION 14 AS AMENDED AND THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991
BENSHAM MANOR ROAD. THORNTON HEATH TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC & PARKING
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate sewer cleaning works, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic and parking in Bensham Manor Road.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place:
(a) Bensham Manor Road will be closed between its junctions with Ecclesbourne Road and Marion Road.
(b) Parking will be suspended and waiting and loading restrictions operating "at any time" will be introduced on both sides of the road outside Nos. 46 to 52 Bensham Manor Road.
3. Whilst the closures are in place the diversion route for traffic will be via Ecclesbourne Road, Kynaston Road, Sandringham Road, Palmerston Road and Pawsons Road.
4. The Order will come into operation on 03 December 2019 and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out over one night between 10pm and 5am. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.
5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works;
(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;
(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT. 1984. SECTION 14 AS AMENDED THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 AND ALL OTHER ENABLING POWERS
BINGHAM ROAD AND SUNRIDGE ROAD. CROYDON
TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate gas main replacement works, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic movements in Bingham Road and Sunridge Road.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place,
a) no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed in Bingham Road at its junction with Lower Addiscombe Road.
b) no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed in Sunridge Road at its junction with Lower Addiscombe Road.
3. Whilst the closure remains in force the alternative route for diverted traffic will be via local streets as appropriately signed.
4. The Order will come into operation on 06 January 2020 and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out in 1 month. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.
