LONDON BOROUGH OF BARNET THE BARNET (20MPH SPEED LIMIT) (NO. 1) TRAFFIC ORDER 2019
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Barnet have made on 28th November 2019 the above-mentioned Order under Section 84 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.
In order to address concerns about speeding, and improve general road safety the general effect of the Order will be to introduce a maximum speed limit of 20mph in the streets or length of streets specified below:
(a) The Ridgeway N11
(b) Park Way N20
(c) Bethune Avenue N11 (between its junctions with The Ridgeway N11 and Park Way N20)
Copies of the Order, which will come into operation on Monday 2nd December 2019, a plan of the relevant areas and the Council’s Statements of Reasons for making the Orders can be inspected between 9am and 5pm on Mondays to Fridays (Bank Holidays and Public Holidays excepted) inclusive for a period of 6 months from the date on which this notice is published at:
(a) Design Team, 6th Floor, 2 Bristol Avenue, Colindale, London NW9 4EW;
(b) Reception, Hendon Town Hall, The Burroughs, London NW4 4BQ.
Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that they are not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any regulation made there-under have not been complied with in relation to the Order may within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
