WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN VARIOUS ROADS

THE MERTON (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION)

(AMENDMENT NO. 475) ORDER 2019 THE MERTON (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (WIMBLEDON VILLAGE) (NO. 2) (AMENDMENT NO. 3) ORDER 2019

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Merton, on 12 November 2019, made the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.



2. The general effect of the "Waiting and Loading" Orders will be to further amend existing Merton waiting and loading restriction orders so that:-



(a) waiting by vehicles (otherwise than for the purpose of delivering or collecting goods or loading or unloading a vehicle for 20 minutes) will be prohibited at any time in the roads or lengths of roads described in the Schedule to this Notice;



(b) lengths of waiting restrictions totaling 8.5 metres will be removed from Byards Croft, the east side;



(c) waiting restrictions in Plummer Lane match the on-street layout.



3. A copy of the Orders, which will come into force on 18 November 2019, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders, including plans specifying the roads or lengths of roads affected by the Orders, can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made at Merton Link, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden, Surrey, SM4 5DX.



4. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof, or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

(AMENDMENT NO. 476) ORDER 2019 THE MERTON (PROHIBITION OF STOPPING OUTSIDE SCHOOLS) (CONSOLIDATION) TRAFFIC ORDER 2010 (AMENDMENT NO. 1) ORDER 2019

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Merton, on 12 November 2019, made the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.



2. The general effect of the "Waiting and Loading" Order will be to further amend the Merton (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Order 1977 so that:-



(a) waiting by vehicles (otherwise than for the purpose of delivering or collecting goods or loading or unloading a vehicle for forty minutes) will be prohibited at any time at the locations indicated in Schedule 1 to this Notice;



(b) waiting by vehicles, including for the purpose of delivering or collecting goods or loading or unloading a vehicle, will be prohibited at any time, in the lengths of road specified in Schedule 2 to this Notice.

3. The general effect of the "Prohibition of Stopping Order" will be to revoke certain school keep clear restrictions in Abbotts Road and Castleton Road.



4. PROPOSED PROVISION AND RELOCATION OF DISABLED PERSONS PARKING PLACES

THE MERTON (FREE PARKING PLACES) (DISABLED PERSONS) (NO. *) ORDER 20*

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Merton under the powers conferred by sections 6 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make the above-mentioned Order.



2. The general effect of the 'Free Parking Places' Order would be to: -



(a) designate a parking place on the carriageway outside No6 Elmhurst Avenue, CR4, in which vehicles authorised by the 'Disabled Persons' Order may be left for any period without charge;



(b) relocate the disabled persons parking place outside No. 9 Ashtree Avenue, CR4 to outside No. 7 Ashtree Avenue, CR4.



(c) provide that the parking place would operate at all times, unless otherwise stated;



(d) specify, in respect of the parking places, that vehicles displaying in the relevant position, a disabled persons badge (commonly referred to as "the Blue Badge") issued by any local authority under the provisions of the Disabled Persons (Badges for Motor Vehicles) Regulations 2000 may be left therein;



(e) provide that certain vehicles may wait in the parking place in certain circumstances, e.g. to allow persons to board or alight (maximum



2 minutes), to load or unload (maximum 20 minutes), etc.
