NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 15th November 2019 the Council of the London Borough of Sutton, Civic Offices, St. Nicholas Way, Sutton SN1 1EA (hereinafter called "the Council") made an order pursuant to section 247 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 (hereinafter called "the Act") in respect of land measuring with a maximum length of 6.4 metres and the maximum width is 1.219 metres and consisting of footpaths along the Central Road carriageway in the London Borough of Sutton ("the Order"). The effect of the Order is that the said land has ceased to be public highway.
The Council is satisfied that it is necessary to stop up the part of Central Road, Worcester Park KT4 which is the subject of this Order to allow the implementation of a planning permission granted by the Council on 6 April 2016 (ref. No. A2015/73366/FUL) for a residential development including the land over which the footpaths run.
Any person aggrieved by the Order and wishing to question its validity, or any provision contained in the Order, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Act or that any procedural requirements of the Act or any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the making of the Order may, within 6 weeks following 15th November 2019 apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained in the Order.
