Highways Act 1980 Public Path Diversion Order 2019 Footpath 4 Great Bentley
On 30 October 2019 Essex County Council confirmed the above order made under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980. The effect of the order as confirmed is to divert a part length of public Footpath 4 Great Bentley commencing from a point located east of farm buildings running in a north westerly direction across a field for 405 metres to a point by the field boundary where it continues unaffected, to an alternative route 2 meters in width commencing from the aforementioned start running in a generally north, north westerly direction along the field edge for 253 metres to the field edge where it continues in a westerly direction across a field for 259 metres to the aforementioned end point A copy of the Order and the Order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge atTendring District Council Offices, Thorpe Road, Weeley, CO16 9AJ and at Chelmsford Public Library, Market Road CM1 1QH during normal working hours. Copies are available on request from the Chelmsford Library at a charge.
The alternative route comes into force on 27 November 2019, and the old route shall be stopped up with effect from 4 December 2019, but if a person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from 14 November 2019 make an application to the High Court.

A part length of Footpath 11 Eight Ash Green commencing from grid reference 59249,22589 231 metres to Thurgoods Farm at grid reference 59253,22567 then continuing in an easterly then generally south south easterly direction between the pond to the east and farm buildings on the west side for a further distance of 155 metres to grid reference 59260,22556 where it connects to the highway known as Chippetts Lane will be diverted to a new route commencing at the same above point and running in a west north westerly direction along the field boundary for a distance of 130 metres to grid reference 59236,22592 in the corner of the field then in a south south westerly direction then a generally southerly direction along the field boundary for a further distance of 340 metres to grid reference 59229,22562. The path then continues in a south easterly direction along the field boundary for a final distance of 172 metres to grid reference 59242,22551 where it connects to Chippetts Lane.
A part length of Footpath 14 West Bergholt commencing from grid reference 59497,22745 west of Cooks Hall Road running in a generally west north westerly direction for a total distance of 70 metres to grid reference 59490,22747 to the south of the silo tank where it continues unaffected will be diverted to a new route commencing from the same above point and running in a northerly then west north westerly direction for a distance of 65 metres to grid reference 59492,22748 then continuing in a generally south westerly direction for a final distance of 22 metres to the same above point where it continues unaffected.
A copy of these Orders and Order Maps have been placed in and may be seen free of charge at Colchester Public Library and at the County Hall, Chelmsford during normal working hours. Copies of the Orders and Order maps are available on request from County Hall at a charge.
Any representation about or objection to the Order may be sent or delivered in writing to Laurence Page and addressed to the Definitive Map Team, Essex County Council, A2 Seax House, County Hall, Chelmsford CM1 1QH, no later than 12th December, 2019 and should state the grounds on which it is made. Please include an email address in the response for a prompt reply. If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, Essex County Council may itself confirm the Order as an unopposed Order If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation, any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent together with the Order.

The entire length of Footpath 10 Chappel commencing from grid reference 58916,22744 where it connects to Swan Street and running in a west north westerly direction for a distance of 132 metres to grid reference 58904,22750 where it meets the drainage channel, then continuing across the field in a westerly direction for a distance of 312 metres to grid reference 58873,22753 where it connects to Oak Road, will be diverted to a new route commencing at the same above point and running in a west north westerly direction for a distance of 133 metres to the existing footbridge over the channel at grid reference 58903,22747 then continuing in a west north westerly for a further distance of 305 metres across the field to the same above point where it continues unaffected. The entire length of Footpath 4 Little Horkesley commencing from grid reference 59585,23290 where it connects to Footpath 3 Little Horkesley on the south side of the footbridge over the stream running in a south westerly direction across the field for a distance of 299 metres to grid reference 59560,23274 where it connects to the junction of Footpath 5 and Byway 29 Little Horkesley will be diverted to a new route commencing at the same above point and running in a westerly then a south westerly direction parallel with and alongside the south side of the stream for a distance of 278 metres to grid reference 59560,23279 where it connects to Byway 29 Little Horkesley A part length of Footpath 7 Little Horkesley commencing from grid reference 59564,23237 where it connects to School Lane and runs in west south westerly direction on the south side of the existing hedge for a total distance of 430 metres to grid reference 59523,23226 will be diverted to a new route commencing at the same above point and running in a west south westerly direction on the north side of the existing hedge for a distance of 430 metres to grid reference 59522,23227 then in a southerly direction for a further distance of 10 metres to the same above point where it continues unaffected. A new Footpath has been created under Section 25 of the Highways Act 1980 at West Mersea. A footpath being 2 metres wide commences at the northern end of the Recreation Ground where it connects to Colchester Road the B1025 and runs in a south south easterly direction alongside and parallel to Colchester Road on its western side for a distance of 138 metres to where the footpath terminates at the southern end of the recreation ground close to where Footpath 18 commences. The new diverted routes will come into effect on 2nd December, 2019. However, if any person aggrieved by an order, wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from the date of this Notice, make an application to the High Court. Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close Wormingford Bridge No.0056, Mill Hill, Wormingford in the Borough of Colchester, for the entire length of the Wormingford Bridge
No.0056.
The alternative route will be via Church Road, B1508, Colchester Road, Cuckoo Hill, Nayland Road, Clicket Hill, Smallbridge Entry, Mill Hill and vice versa. The temporary closure is scheduled to commence on 11/11/2019 to 06/12/2019 and is required for public safety.
The Order will come into effect on 11/11/2019 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Footpath 12, Wickham Bishops) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2019
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close Footpath 12, Wickham Bishops from its junction with Grange Road in a northerly direction for approximately 100 metres and then west for approximately 40 metres.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 25/11/2019 to 25/12/2019 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting, and is required to enable flood alleviation works.
The alternative routes will be via Grange Road, Footpath 13, Wickham Hall Lane, Station Road, Church Road or vice-a-versa, and via Grange Road, Roots Lane, Footpath 11, Byron Drive, Blacksmiths Lane, Church Road or vice-a-versa.
The Order will come into effect on 25/11/2019 and may continue in force for 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Colne Road, Brightlingsea in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Nelson Street to its junction with Duke Street, a distance of approximately 80m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 18/11/2019 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30034828022 - UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while electrical service works are undertaken by UK Power Networks. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Bures Road, Wakes Colne in the Borough of Colchester, from its junction with Jankes Green Road for a distance of approximately 75m in a northeasterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 21/11/2019 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03156499016 - Anglian Water). Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Love Lane, Brightlingsea in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Church Road for a distance of approximately 55m in an easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 25/11/2019 for 22 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ0081000809040 - Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on www. roadworks.org. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while gas main replacement works are undertaken by Cadent.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Station Road, Thorrington in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Great Bentley Road to its junction with Church Road, a distance of approximately 185m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 16/11/2019 for 1 night, or where stated on a valid permit (KL735COC-59-45-161119 -Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on www.roadworks.org. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while track correction works are undertaken by Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd.

(Various Roads, Borough of Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Clearway) (No.12) Order 2019
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close the various lengths of road in the Borough of Colchester as specified in Schedule 1 to this Order.
2. A temporary 'No Waiting' restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above lengths of roads and those in Schedule 2 for the duration of the closure to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.
"The Essex County Council (Colchester Borough) (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (Consolidation) Order 2008" and "The Essex County Council (Colchester Borough) (Permitted Parking & Special Parking Area) Order 2014" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 21/11/2019, exact dates will be specified on http://roadworks.org/. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.
