M4 MOTORWAY - OLDWAY LANE BRIDLEWAY, CIPPENHAM TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that Highways England Company Limited (a) has varied The M4 Motorway (Junctions 1 - 13)(Temporary Restriction and Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2019 (b) originally made on 12 July 2019. The effect of the Variation Order is to authorise the closure of Oldway Lane bridleway (proceeding south from Moor Furlong, Cippenham) at the point at which it crosses the M4. This measure is in the interests of safety while contractors undertake the replacement of the bridge spanning the M4. The variation will come into force on 18 November 2019.
Persons on foot, cycle, electrical cycle or scooter, or riding or leading a horse wishing to cross the Motorway will be diverted, using alternative bridleways, to the Wood Lane overbridge 1110 metres eastwards.
