Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Eynsham & Freeland, Cuckoo Lane &Wroslyn Road Prohibition of Through Traffic Date of Order: 4 November 2019 Coming into force: 13 November 2019 This Order is being introduced because of carriageway patching works which are anticipated to be completed on 6 December 2019. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle (in 2 phases) proceeding in the length of (1) Cuckoo Lane from the A40 to Wroslyn Road, and (2) in Wroslyn Road from Cuckoo Lane to The Green. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for southbound traffic is via the A4095 Long Hanborough to Witney, and Jubilee Way, Witney to the B4022, Oxford Hill to re-join the A40 eastwards.

Northbound traffic via A40 westwards to the B4022 exit into Witney, Jubilee Way Witney to the A4095 to Freeland. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner (Ref.T7028/RAG)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Burford, A40 - 30mph Speed Limit Date of commencement: 5 November 2019 Date of Order: 04 November 2019 Coming into force: 13 November 2019 This Order continues in force an emergency notice following closure of the unsafe pedestrian overbridge serving Burford School. The order is being introduced for road safety reasons to support the provision of a pedestrian crossing being constructed in place of the bridge. The effect of the Order is to temporarily reduce the speed from 40mph to 30mph west of Burford roundabout. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. The relevant part of the Oxfordshire County Council (Burford) (Various Roads) (40mph Speed Limit) Order 2006 will be temporarily suspended for the duration of the works.
