Education (Scotland) Act 1980 Choice of School
Children usually attend their catchment school. However, parents may make a written request to place their child in any school under the management of an education authority. Such a request is known as a placing request. Application forms for Renfrewshire schools are available by telephoning: 0300 300 0300. Information concerning our schools, and the procedures to be followed in making placing requests, is available from every school. Parents of children due to start school in August 2020, whether or not they wish to make a placing request, should follow the instructions on the registration of children, which will be published in the press, during the week commencing 6 January 2020.
