CITY OF YORK COUNCIL TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS

Notice is hereby given that City of York Council (the Council), in exercise of powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (the Act), made an Order on the 31st day of October 2019 in respect of the location numbered (1). Additionally, the Council, not less than 7 days from the publication of this Notice, intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Act in respect of each of the locations numbered (2), (3), (4), (5), (6) and (7).

m FOSSBANK. YORK This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Fossbank, York (closed road) during the period when carriageway resurfacing and sewer investigation works being undertaken thereon, that period commencing at 1930hrs on the 4th day of November 2019 and ending at 0500hrs on the 8th day of November 2019 or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.

(2) HUNTINGTON ROAD. YORK

This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Huntington Road, York between its junctions with Lowther Street and Ramsey Close (closed road) during the period commencing at 1930hrs on the 11th day of November 2019 and ending at 0500hrs on the 15th day of November 2019 (works period) or at time when carriageway resurfacing works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. It is envisaged that the prohibition on vehicles proceeding and waiting in the closed road will only be put into effect between 1930hrs and 0500hrs, during the works period. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.

(31 LOWTHER STREET. YORK This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Lowther Street, York between its junctions with Haxby Road and St Thomas' Place (closed road) during the period commencing at 0900hrs on the 11th day of November 2019 and ending at 1600hrs on the 15th day of November 2019 (works period) or at time when footway resurfacing works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. It is envisaged that the prohibition on vehicles proceeding and waiting in the closed roads will only be put into effect between 0900hrs and 1700hrs, during the works period. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.

Ul TERRY STREET. YORK This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Terry Street, York between its junction with Beresford Terrace and the southern property boundary line of No 13 Terry Street (closed road) during the period commencing at 0001 hrs on the 11th day of November 2019 and ending at 2400hrs on the 17th day of November 2019 (works period) or at time when sewer repair works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.

(51 GALE LANE. YORK This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Gale Lane, York between its junctions with Cornlands Road and St Stephen's Road (closed road) during the period commencing at 0915hrs on the 18th day of November 2019 and ending at 1700hrs on the 22nd day of November 2019 (works period) or at time when carriageway resurfacing works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. It is envisaged that the prohibition on vehicles proceeding and waiting in the closed road will only be put into effect between 0915hrs and 1700hrs, during the works period. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.

(6\ LEEMAN ROAD. YORK This Order will prohibit pedestrians and vehicles from proceeding in that length of Leeman Road, York between points 10 metres east and 10 metres west of Marble Arch Bridge (closed road) during the period commencing at 2200hrs on the 18th day of November 2019 and ending at 0600hrs on the 19th day of November 2019 (works period) or on a date when bridge maintenance works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. It is envisaged that the restriction on pedestrians will only be put into effect in the northern tunnel of Marble Arch Bridge during the works period. An alternative route for diverted pedestrians and traffic will be signed during the works period.

LEEMAN ROAD. YORK This Order will prohibit pedestrians and vehicles from proceeding in that length of Leeman Road, York between points 10 metres east and 10 metres west of Marble Arch Bridge (closed road) during the period commencing at 2200hrs on the 18th day of November 2019 and ending at 0600hrs on the 19th day of November 2019 (works period) or on a date when bridge maintenance works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. It is envisaged that the restriction on pedestrians will only be put into effect in the northern tunnel of Marble Arch Bridge during the works period. An alternative route for diverted pedestrians and traffic will be signed during the works period.

(7) CHURCH LANE. SKELTON This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Church Lane, Skelton (closed road) during the period commencing at 0001 hrs and ending at 2400hrs on the 20th day of November 2019 (works period) or at time when water works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period. The above temporary Orders will not prohibit works or emergency access nor will they prohibit access to premises provided that access is not prevented by on-going works or safety concerns. Traffic signs/barriers will indicate the extent of the prohibitions/restrictions.
