LONDON BOROUGH OF WALTHAM FOREST
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990
The Council of the London Borough of Waltham Forest ("the Council") hereby gives notice that it proposes to make an order under Section 247 of the above Act to authorise the stopping up of the following area of public highway which is shown hatched black and edged red on the plan attached to the draft order and comprising 1085 sqm:
(a) The area of public highway known as part of Marlowe Road running for 137.4 metres eastbound from a point where Marlowe Road meets Back Road (with such point being 51.4m east of Shernhall Street) formed of one long rectangular shaped area with a width varying between 5.8 metres and 9.9 metres.
IF THE ORDER IS MADE, the stopping up will be authorised only in order to enable development described in the Schedule to this notice to be carried out in accordance with the planning permission granted by the Council of the London Borough of Waltham Forest on 20 September 2016 under reference 151652/FUL.
COPIES OF THE DRAFT ORDER AND THE RELEVANT PLANS MAY BE INSPECTED during normal office hours for 28 days commencing on 31 October 2019 at (a) The Information Desk, Town Hall, Forest Road, Walthamstow, E17; and (b) Low Hall, Argall Avenue, London, E10 7AS free of charge.
ANY PERSON MAY OBJECT to the making of the proposed order within the period of 28 days commencing on 31 October 2019 by written statement to Legal Services, Waltham Forest Town Hall, Forest Road, London, E17 4JF (Ref: NHP.237/JW/Marlowe).
In preparing an objection it should be borne in mind that the substance of it may be imparted to other persons who may be affected by it and that those persons may wish to communicate with the objector about it.

THE SCHEDULE
Demolition of the existing Marlowe Road Estate and phased redevelopment of the site comprising 436 residential units (126 x 1 bed, 136 x 2 bed, 138 x 3 bed and 36 x 4 bed) Class A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, and D1 commercial space (1119sqm) in blocks ranging from two to seven storeys in height, car parking, internal infrastructure network, energy centre, new public plaza, hard and soft landscaping and associated works (and retention of Northwood Tower residential block).
