M4 MOTORWAY-JUNCTION 7 (HUNTERCOMBE SPUR) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that Highways England Company Limited (a) has varied The M4 Motorway (Junctions 1 - 13)(Temporary Restriction and Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2019 (b) originally made on 12 July 2019. The effect of the Variation Order is to authorise additional 24-hour restrictions on the slips connecting from and to both carriageways of the spur road connecting to the A4 to and from the westbound carriageway of the M4 at M4 Junction 7 (A4) as follows:
i) a width restriction in both lanes of 3 metres;

ii) a weight restriction of 44 tonnes;

iii) a length restriction of 20 metres; and

iv) speed restrictions of 30 or 40 mph as advised by signage.

These measures are in the interests of road safety while contractors undertake the replacement of the bridge spanning the M4, diverting traffic over a temporary structure. The variation comes into force on
30 October 2019.
