Notice is hereby given that Essex County Council proposes to make the above Order under Section 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3(2) and Part III of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the Order: To prohibit vehicles from making a U-Turn on the High Street in the Borough of Colchester, from a point approximately 60 metres west of the centre of its junction with Lewis Gardens to a point approximately 60 metres east of the centre of its junction with Lewis Gardens (approximately 120 metres/130 yards in total). Notice is hereby given that Essex County Council on 25 September 2019 confirmed the above mentioned Order and it took effect on that day.

The effect of the Order is to modify the Definitive Map for the County of Essex by:-Adding a length of Footpath 35 East Donyland, from Footpath 24 in an easterly direction for approximately 80 metres to Footpath 27.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close the various lengths of road in the Borough of Colchester as specified in the Schedule to this Order.



2. A temporary 'No Waiting' restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above lengths of roads for the duration of the closure to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.



"The Essex County Council (Colchester Borough) (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (Consolidation) Order 2008" and "The Essex County Council (Colchester Borough) (Permitted Parking & Special Parking Area) Order 2014" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only.
