RAILWAYS ACT 2005 DESIGNATION OF EXPERIMENTAL SERVICES

Under the terms of the Railways Act 2005 the Secretary of State may designate a passenger rail service as experimental. The Secretary of State hereby gives NOTICE that the following are so designated, as detailed below:

SERVICES TO AND FROM WARRINGTON WEST STATION ON THE LINE BETWEEN SANKEY FOR PENKETH AND WARRINGTON CENTRAL

1. The Secretary of State, in exercise of his powers under section 36 of the Railways Act 2005, hereby designates as experimental all rail services at the station at Warrington West.



2. This designation is for a period of 5 years and shall commence on the date that the first such service calls at Warrington West Station (which is currently expected to be no earlier than Sunday 15 December 2019, following the opening of Warrington West Station).
