NORTH YORK MOORS NATIONAL PARK AUTHORITY (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS) Footpath No 147(Raindale)

STAPE Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 – Section 14(1) (as amended) The North York Moors National Park Authority has made an Order, the effect of which is to make the following closure in the parish of Stape in the District of Ryedale: No pedestrian shall proceed along footpath 147 Stape, commencing at Grid Reference (GR) SE8070 9225 (Point A) on the scarp edge south of Raindale, going east for 87 metres (m) to GR SE8079 9226 (Point B). The alternative route is to turn south-south-east for 52m to GR SE8072 9221 (Point C), east for 10m and north-east for 78m to re-join the unaffected footpath on the scarp edge at the point of closure GR SE8079 9226 (Point B) and return. The closure will be put into effect by means of the erection of notices and signs. The Order is necessary due to danger to the public from engineering works associated with the construction of a new forest road. The works are expected to be completed by the 24 April 2015 at the latest.
