(B6309 LEADGATE CROSSROADS) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2019

The Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on 1) An 80 m length of B6309 Watling St that extends northwards from its junction at ClOa Leadgate crossroads 2) A 105 m length of B6309 Durham Rd that extends southwards from its junction with ClOa Leadgate crossroads to enable carriageway resurfacing works to be undertaken. Alternative route from the 1) Northern side of the closure from B6309 Watling St, westerly via Watling St Ind Est road, south westerly on Werdohl Way, south on A691 Villa Real Rd to the junction with Leadgate Rd, or continuing south westerly on A692 to the junction with the roundabout at A691/B6309 to the southern side of the closure, and vice versa. 2) Southern side of the closure from the roundabout junction at A691/ A692/B6309 either: north westerly via A692; or north easterly via A692 to Pont Lane roundabout then easterly on Leadgate Rd: to the junction with Leadgate Rd roundabout then westerly on St Ives Rd leading to the southern side of the closure, and vice versa. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence from 7am on 26710/19 in two phases working between 7am and 7pm per day. Phase 1 to be completed on Saturday 26th October, Tuesday 29th & Wednesday 30th October 2019. Phase 2 to be completed on Sunday 27th & Monday 28th October and Thursday 31st October, Friday 1st & Saturday 2nd November 2019. Works are anticipated to be completed in 8 days. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
