Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Brightwell cum Sotwell, Didcot Road Prohibition of Through Traffic Date of Order: 7 October 2019
Coming into force: 14 October 2019 This Order is being introduced because of water main connection work which is anticipated to be completed on 25 October 2019. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in the whole length of Didcot Road. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic is via West End-Church Lane-High Road-A4130 and vice versa. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. T6943/RAG
Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Kennington, A423 Southern Bypass westbound Prohibition of Left Turn Date of Order: 8 July 2019 Came into force: 15 July 2019 Work commence: 28 October 2019 This Order was brought in for works intended to commence on 15 July but were postponed. The work which is anticipated to take 3 weeks to complete will now be undertaken from 28 October to create new cycle facilities on the slip road to/from Kennington Road leading off the A423 Southern Bypass Road westbound carriageway. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle turning left (southwards) from the bypass to Kennington Road. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works. The alternative route for traffic is via Hinksey Interchange -A423 eastbound - Old Abingdon Road & Kennington Road.
This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref T6605)

A417 CHALLOW ROAD (EAST CHALLOW) PROPOSED PUFFIN CROSSING AND BUS STOP CLEARWAYS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & the Highways Act 1980 Oxfordshire County Council proposes - as a result of the development of adjacent land to Challow Road - to install the following features on the A417 Challow Road: Puffin Crossing (a signalled crossing for use by pedestrians):
? approximately 340* metres west of the junction with Warmans Close. Bus Stop Clearways (with a 'No Stopping except local buses' restriction):
? North side - 300 metres* west of the junction with Warmans Close, and
? South side - 380 metres* west of the junction with Warmans Close.
? All dimensions are approximate, taken from the centre of the junction to the centre of the feature.

NEW ROAD OFF HIGHWORTH ROAD (SHRIVENHAM) PROPOSED ZEBRA CROSSING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Oxfordshire County Council as the local highway authority under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers proposes - as a result of the development of land adjacent to Highworth Road in Shrivenham - to construct a Zebra Crossing (a crossing for use by pedestrians) to help improve pedestrian safety in the new residential streets:
On the Newly constructed road within the housing development - approx. 150* metres northeast of the junction with Highworth Road
* All dimensions are approximate, taken from the centre of the junction to the centre of the crossing.
