CITY OF YORK COUNCIL TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that City of York Council (the Council), not less than 7 days from the publication of this Notice, intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (the Act) in respect of the following location.
THE MOUNT. YORK
This Order will prohibit pedestrians and vehicles from proceeding in the footpath's on The Mount, York on its (i) eastern side from the property boundary of 119/121 northbound to a point 15 metres north of Scarcroft Rd, (ii) western side from 15 metres south of Dalton Terrace to a point 10 metres north of the pedestrian crossing across northern arm of The Mount, (iii) western side of The Mount from Kwik Fit access southbound for 40m (iv) Dalton Terrace, York between its junction with The Mount and a point 15 metre west of the said junction (v) Albemarle Road, York between its junction with The Mount and a point 15 metre west of the said junction (closed footpath) during the period commencing at 0001 hrs on the 14th day of October 2019 and ending at 2400hrs on the 22nd day of November 2019 (works period) or on a date when Traffic Signal improvement works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. It is envisaged that the works will be completed in phases and only one section of footpath will be closed at any one time. An alternative route for diverted pedestrians and vehicles will be available during the works period. The above temporary Order will not prohibit works or emergency access nor will they prohibit access to premises provided that access is not prevented by on-going works or safety concerns. Traffic signs/barriers will indicate the extent of the prohibitions/restrictions.
