TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that City of York Council (the Council), in exercise of powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (the Act), made an Order on the 3rd day of October 2019 in respect of each of the locations numbered (1), (2), (3), (4) and (5). Additionally, the Council, not less than 7 days from the publication of this Notice, intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Act in respect of each of the locations numbered (6), (7), (8), (9) and (10).
(11 HALLFIELD ROAD. YORK
This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Hallfield Road between its junctions with Little Hallfield Road and Richmond Street (closed road) during the period when sewer works being undertaken thereon, that period commencing at 0001 hrs on the 7th day of October 2019 and ending at 2400hrs on the 13th day of October 2019 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted vehicles will be signed during the works period.
(21 HOWARD STREET. YORK This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Howard Street, York (closed road) during the period when new water connection works being undertaken thereon that period commencing at 0800hrs on the 7th day of October 2019 and ending at 2000hrs on the 8th day of October 2019 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted vehicles will be signed during the works period.
(3) MARJORIE WAITE COURT. YORK This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Marjorie Waite Court, York (closed road) during the period when new water connection works being undertaken thereon that period commencing at 0001 hrs on the 7th day of October 2019 and ending at 2400hrs on the 11th day of October 2019 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted vehicles will be signed during the works period.
(«1 TOWTHORPE ROAD. HAXBY This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in that length of Towthorpe Road, Haxby between its junctions with Mallard Way and Old Coppice (closed road) during the period when carriageway resurfacing works being undertaken thereon, that period commencing at 0915hrs on the 7th day of October 2019 and ending at 1630hrs on the 11th day of October 2019 or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.
(51 THE MOUNT. YORK This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding in the bus lane on the north side of The Mount, York between its junction with Driffield Terrace and the projected north eastern property boundary line on No. 104 The Mount (closed bus lane) and prohibiting vehicles from waiting on the northern side of The Mount, York between the projected north eastern property boundary lines of 116 and 126 The Mount (restricted road) during the period when Traffic Signal Improvement works being undertaken nearby, commencing at 0001 hrs on the 7th day of October 2019 and ending at 2400hrs on the 22nd day of November 2019 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. It is envisaged that prohibition on vehicles waiting in the restricted road will only be put in to effect between Monday 4th November and Friday 22nd November 2019, during the restricted period R2 Residents Permit holders will be eligible to park in Nunnery Lane Car Park. An alternative route for diverted vehicles will be available during the works period._

(61 RUNSWICK AVENUE. YORK
This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Runswick Avenue, York (closed road) during the period commencing at 0900hrs on the 14th day of October 2019 and ending at 2400hrs on the 15th day of October 2019 (works period) or at time when carriageway resurfacing works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. It is envisaged that the prohibition on vehicles proceeding and waiting in the closed roads will only be put into effect between 0900hrs and 1700hrs, during the works period. No alternative route for diverted traffic will be available during the works period.
(71 BURTON STONE LANE. YORK This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in that length of Burton Stone Lane, York between its junctions with Crichton Avenue and Rowntree Avenue (closed road) during the period commencing at 0001 hrs on the 14th day of October 2019 and ending at 2400hrs on the 8th day of November 2019 (works period) or at time when carriageway reconstruction works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be available during the works period.
(81 BISHOPTHORPE ROAD. YORK This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in that length of Bishopthorpe Road, York between its junctions with York Crematorium access road and Main Street, Bishopthorpe (closed road) during the period commencing at 0001 hrs on the 15th day of October 2019 and ending at 0500hrs on the 19th day of October 2019 (works period) or at a time/date when carriageway resurfacing works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be available during the works period.
(91 THE VILLAGE. EARSWICK This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in The Village, Earswick between its junction with Shilton Garth Close and the western property boundary line of No. 10 The Village (closed road) during the period commencing at 1000hrs on the 18th day of October 2019 and ending at 1500hrs on the 21st day of October 2019 (works period) or at time when nearby delivery works being undertaken by crane operation from within the closed road have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. It is envisaged that the restriction will only be put in place between 1000 hours and 1500 hours on Friday 18th October 2019. No alternative route for diverted traffic will be available during the works period.
(101 TERRY AVENUE. YORK This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in that length of Terry Avenue, York between the projected northern property boundary line of no. 82 Postern Close and its junctions with the vehicle access road for York Rowntree Park Caravan and Motorhome Club (closed road) during the period commencing at 0001 hrs on the 14th day of October 2019 and ending at 2400hrs on the 25th day of November 2019 (works period) or at time when carriageway investigation works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. Additionally, a restriction on vehicles waiting on Vine Street, York between the respective western property boundary lines of No.'s 35 and 49 Vine Street and the access restriction on Cherry Street will be suspended from 0800hrs on the 14th day of October till 1800hrs on 18th day of October 2019. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period. The above temporary Orders will not prohibit works or emergency access nor will they prohibit access to premises provided that access is not prevented by on-going works or safety concerns. Traffic signs/barriers will indicate the extent of the prohibitions/restrictions. 4th October 2019
