Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Oxford, Godstow Road Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Through Traffic Date of Order: 30 September 2019 -Coming into force: 6 October 2019 This Order is being introduced to set up new traffic signal which are anticipated to take 4 weeks to complete. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle using the section of Godstow Road between Wolvercote Green and Rosamund Road. The road will be closed for 4 Sunday nights - 6,13,20 & 27 October from 8pm to 6am. No waiting and no loading restrictions will however be applied for the whole duration of 4 weeks throughout 24hrs. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic is via the A34 southbound to A420 roundabout - A34 northbound to slip road for Wytham village to Godstow Road and vice-versa. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T6840/MR)

The Oxfordshire County Council (Kirtlington and Shipton-on-Cherwell Area) (Speed Limits) Order 2011 will be revoked/ replaced; and for administrative reasons only the Oxfordshire County Council (Bletchingdon) (Speed Limits) Order 2011 will be revoked and incorporated into this joint order. (WOODSTOCK) (SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 20**
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Oxfordshire County Council
proposes to make the above order under the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect
of the order, due to local development and for road safety
reasons is to extend the 30mph speed limit (in place of the
existing 50mph) on the A44 Oxford Road, towards Oxford to a
point 50 metres south ofThe CowYards.
The Oxfordshire County Council (Woodstock) (Speed Limits)
Order 2011, and the Oxfordshire County Council (A44 Oxford
Road, Woodstock) (50mph Speed Limit) Order 2005 will be
revoked/consolidated as required.
A Toucan crossing (signal-controlled crossing for use by both
pedestrians and pedal cyclists) is also proposed to be
constructed at the following location:

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. This is a renewed consultation following input from various interested parties. The proposed orders will update and replace the existing Oxfordshire County Council (Kennington and South Hinksey) (Speed Limits) Order 2014, and the Oxfordshire County Council (Oxford, A4142 and A423 Eastern and Southern Bypass and A4074 Sandford-on-Thames) (50mph Speed Limit) Order 2019 with the following effects:
a) The A423 dual-carriageway (southern ring road) from the A34/Hinksey Hill roundabout will be reduced to 50mph through to Heyford Hill roundabout;
b) The slip roads serving Kennington village to/from the A423 (currently unrestricted) will be reduced to 50mph on the south side slip road and 40mph on the north side;
c) Kennington Road - the northern end currently unrestricted will be reduced to 40mph southwards from Old Abingdon Road.

MANAGEMENT) CONSOLIDATION (VARIATION NO.13) ORDER 20**
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Oxfordshire County Council
proposes to make above Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The orders will further amend the OxfordshireCountyCouncil (CityofOxford and North Hinksey) (Bus Lanes, Cycle Lanes and Traffic Management) Order 2006, and the Oxfordshire County Council (City of Oxford) (Central Area) (Traffic Management) Consolidation Order 2003. Plans are being developed to use camera enforcement at various sites against unauthorised vehicles using bus lanes, so as to ensure unrestricted bus movement. The effect of order 1. is as follows:
a) Barton Fields - the Bus Lane is being extended from the development site across the A40 dual carriageway to its junction with Foxwell Drive, Northway for local bus traffic (and cycles) only;
b) Botley Road, north side - the bus lane will be extended across the entrance to Seacourt Park & Ride so as to run continuously from West Way towards Oxford;
The effect of order 2. is as follows:
c) Castle Street, to regularise the use and permitted access and exemptions for the continuous bus lane from its junction with Paradise Street through the whole length of Norfolk Street to Speedwell Street at its junction with the Westgate Centre deliveries access road adjacent to Old Greyfriars Street;
d) St. Aldates, northbound - to formalise the short section of bus lane at the junction with Thames Street.
e) Both orders will include permission for vehicles being used by the Blood Bike Charity to use bus lanes only when necessary for emergency delivery/collection of blood and organ related products.

(CHIPPING NORTON AREA) (SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 2019
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 30 September 2019
Oxfordshire County Council made the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the order, which comes into force on 4 October is to reduce the 30mph limit in the town centre to 20mph. The central area includes those roads within the following perimeter points:
a) A44 London Road, a point 30 metres east of its junction with Albion Street;
b) A44 New Street, a point 25 metres west of its junction with Distons Lane;
c) A361 Banbury Road, a point 80 metres northeast of its junction with the B4026/A44;
d) A361 Burford Road, a point 45 metres southeast of its junction with Albion Street;
e) B4026 Over Norton Road, a point 15 metres north of its junction with Spring Street;
f) B4450 West Street, a point 30 metres south of its junction with Burford Road.
