Temporary Closure of Custom House Quay, Weymouth
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. The order will come into operation on the 30 September 2019, and will remain in force for 18 months. However it is anticipated that the works will be completed by the 31 January 2020.
This Order will enable Dorset Council safe access to replace a section of the harbour
wall, and associated works.
The effect of the Order is as follows:
[1] To close Custom House Quay, from the junction with the Esplanade to approximately Pilgrims Way, a distance of approximately 100 metres.
[2] To revoke the existing one way order on South Parade, between the Esplande and Custom House Quay and impose two way traffic flow to allow for access to be
maintained.
[3] To suspend the existing parking bays in South Parade to allow for two way traffic
to be maintained for access.
[4] To suspend the existing parking bays on the Esplanade, 3 x parking bays outside Weymouth Baptist Church and 4 x parking bays opposite the junction with South Parade, on the Esplanade.
Forthe duration of the order, a locally signed diversion route will be in place, using; The Esplanade - Pilgrims Way-Custom House Quay.

Temporary Closure of Kingsbere Crescent, Dorchester
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along KINGSBERE CRESCENT, DORCHESTER between nos. 7 & 13, a distance of approximately 55 metres. The Order is needed in orderto comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 30 September 2019 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 11 October 2019.
This Order will enable JDT Utilities, safe access to carry out the replacement of gas mains.
An alternative route will be signed using:Mellstock Avenue - Rothesay Road -
Kingsbere Crescent.

Temporary Closure of Hillview, Martinstown
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along HILLVIEW, MARTINSTOWN, outside Hillview Corner and Washing Pool House, a distance of approximately 5 metres. The Order is needed in orderto comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 14 October 2019 and will remain in force for 18 months and can be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport if necessary; however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 1 November2019.
This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out the replacement of existing culvert with HDPE pipe encased in concrete.
A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.

Temporary 30 mph Speed Restriction on Coombe Road, Winterbourne Steepleton
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The order is needed in orderto comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 16 October 2019 and will remain in force for 18 months. however it is anticipated thatthe works will be completed by 15 April 2021 This Order will enable Morgan Sindall safe access to haul road crossing. The effect of the order is as follows:
[1] To impose a 30 mph speed limit on Coombe Road, Winterbourne Steepleton as indicated by signs on site.
