TOWN & COUNTRY PLANNING (CONTROL OF ADVERTISEMENTS) (ENGLAND) REGULATIONS 2007 DIRECTION UNDER REGULATION 7 TO CONTROL THE DISPLAY OF 'TO LET' BOARDS

The Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government ('the Secretary of State') is satisfied, upon a proposal made to him by the County Council of Durham, as the local planning authority, that the display of advertisement relating to the letting of premises as specified in Class 3A of Schedule 3, Part 1, to the Town and Country Planning (Control of Advertisements) (England) Regulations 2007 ('The Regulations') be restricted within the area of Durham City Centre Conservation Area.

This Direction shall have effect for a period of 5 years from 17 October 2019 in accordance with the provisions of the Regulation.

The Direction and the maps defining the areas subject to the direction are available for inspection at County Hall, Durham, DH1 5UL during the hours of 9am -4.30pm, Monday to Friday and are also available on the Council's website at
