THE A64 TRUNK ROAD (BOND HILL INTERCHANGE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) 2019 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Highways England Company Limited has made an Order on the A64 Trunk Road, in the City of York, to enable bridge inspection, cyclic and routine maintenance works to be carried out in safety. The works are expected to start on Monday 30 September for 1 night, or until completed, and will take place between 8pm and 3am. The effect of the Order will be to close, the A64 westbound exit slip road at A1036 Bond Hill Interchange. During which times a suitably signed alternative routes will be available at all times. Traffic signs will indicate the extent of the prohibition (which will not apply to emergency services vehicles, traffic officer vehicles or vehicles being used in connection with the said works or for winter maintenance purposes). The Order comes into force on 29 September and has a maximum duration of eighteen months.

THE A64 TRUNK ROAD (STAXTON ROUNDABOUT TO EASTFIELDS ROUNDABOUT) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION AND PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Highways England Company Limited has made an order on the A64 Trunk Road, in the Borough of Scarborough, to enable carriageway resurfacing, replacement road marking and stud, construction of cycleway, mature tree removal, electrical works, marker post replacement, lighting column and sign relocation and routine maintenance works to be carried out in safety. The works are expected to start on 7 October 2019 for 8 months, or until completed. The effect of the Order will be, at times during the works, from Sunday to Thursday nights between 7pm and 7am, Friday nights between 7pm and 9am and Saturday nights between 7pm and 10am, to:

(i) close the A64 eastbound and westbound carriageways between Seamer Roundabout and Eastfields Roundabout, a distance of 3410 metres;



(ii) close the A64 eastbound carriageway from Seamer Roundabout eastwards for a distance of 190 metres;



(iii) close the A64 westbound carriageway from Seamer Roundabout westwards for a distance of 199 metres;



(iv) close the A64 Seamer Roundabout and Crossgates Roundabout; and



(v) close the bus stop areas adjacent to the A64 eastbound carriageway approximately 100 metres west and approximately



90 metres east of Staxton Roundabout. During the carriageway and roundabout closures, suitably signed alternative routes will be available at all times. It will also be necessary, for 24 hours a day, at times during the works, to:

(i) impose a temporary 40mph speed restriction on the A64 eastbound and westbound carriageways from 168 metres east of Staxton Willerby Junction to Crossgates Roundabout, a distance of 5265 metres;



(ii) close the laybys adjacent to the A64 westbound carriageway approximately 775 metres east, 640 metres west and 480 metres west of Seamer Roundabout; and



(iii) close the layby adjacent to the A64 eastbound carriageway approximately 1265 metres east of Seamer Roundabout.



Traffic management will be in force 24 hours a day and traffic signs will indicate the extent of the restrictions (which will not apply to emergency service vehicles or special forces vehicles) and prohibitions (which will not apply to emergency service vehicles or vehicles being used in connection with the said works, or for winter maintenance or traffic officer purposes). Access will be maintained at all times to premises and properties which are accessible from, and only from, the A64. The Order comes into force on 6 October 2019 and has a maximum duration of eighteen months.
