WEST BERKSHIRE DISTRICT COUNCIL

(CROWN LANE, THEALE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2019

West Berkshire District Council has made an Order

in accordance with Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic

Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to

prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in any direction

over Crown Lane between its junction with Blossom Lane

and its junction with Church Street

The alternative route for all vehicles affected by the

Order is via Church St, Englefield Rd, Blossom Ave,

Blossom Lane, and vice versa.

The purpose of this Order is to enable contractors to

access ductwork and cabling within the carriageway.

The proposed Order will come into effect on 23rd

September 2019. It is envisaged that the closure will

be in place on the 25th September 2019 between the

hours of 9.30am - 3.30pm. The Order shall remain in

force for a period of Eighteen months, or until the works

are complete, whichever is the soonest.

The Order shall not take effect until signs in accordance

with The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions

2016 have been erected
