THE A49 TRUNK ROAD (HEREFORD TO HOPE-UNDER-DINMORE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2019
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Highways England Company Limited (Company No. 9346363) intends to make an Order on the A49 Trunk Road, between Hereford and Hope under Dinmore, in the District of the County of Herefordshire to allow road marking renewal and maintenance works to be carried out. The effect of the Order will be to -
(1) close -

(a) the A49 between its roundabout junction with the A4103 Roman Road, at Hereford, and its junction with the A417, at Hope-under-Dinmore; and

(b) any layby situated adjacent to the length of the A49 described in (a) above; and

(2) prohibit any vehicle from entering or leaving the length of the A49 described in (1)(a) above at its junction with any side road.

The work will be carried out overnight on weeknights only between 20:00 hours and 06:00 hours and is expected to start on Monday 7 October 2019 and continue for nineteen nights. The layby closures will be in operation from 06:00 hours on Monday 7 October 2019 for 24 hours per day for the duration of the works. The Order will come into
force on 4 October 2019.
Vehicles being used for police, fire and rescue authority or ambulance purposes and vehicles being used in connection with the works or for winter maintenance purposes will be exempt from the closures and prohibition. Access to properties will be maintained at all times. Diversion routes via the A4103 and the A417 and vice versa will be signed. For more information please contact Don Haggart on 0300 470 3042.
