Notice of Confirmation of an Order Highways Act 1980 Public Path Diversion Orders in The Borough of Basildon Footpath 211 Basildon
On 21 August 2019 Essex County Council confirmed the above order made under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980. The effect of the order as confirmed is to divert a part length of Footpath 211 Basildon commencing from a point west of Vange Creek at grid reference 57267,18618 (postcode SS16 4QG) on the south side of the hedgerow, proceeding south eastwards across the meadow to the fence boundary, then south south-eastwards across the field to the next fence boundary west of the large barn. The path then continues in a general south south-eastwards direction over the farm track and across the meadowlands to the fence boundary where it then continues south eastwards across the grassland to the foot of the embankment west of Parting Gut at grid reference 57321,18518, to an alternative route commencing from the aforementioned point west of Vange Creek proceeding in a general easterly direction across the corner of the meadow to the western side of the hedgerow, continuing south south-eastwards on the western side of the hedge, deviating across the culvert then continuing south eastwards adjacent to the hedge before passing through the hedge gap eastwards to the foot of the sea wall embankment. The path then continues in the grass folding at the foot of the sea wall south eastwards, southwards then generally westwards for approximately 1.6 kilometres to the aforementioned point west of Parting Gut connecting back to the unaffected part of Footpath 211 Basildon, as shown on the order map.
Footpath 185 Bowers Gifford & North Benfleet
On 21 August 2019 Essex County Council confirmed the above order made under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980. The effect of the order as confirmed is to divert a part length of Footpath 185 Bowers Gifford & North Benfleet commencing from a point south of Rookery Farm on the gravel pathway in the wide gap between the hedgerows at grid reference 57588,18678 (postcode SS7 5BN), proceeding southwards through the thicket to the pathway junction north of the gate then continuing south westwards along the gravel pathway to a point on the north side of the nature reserve lake, then proceeding south eastwards north of the lake to the next track junction. The path then continues north eastwards along the track to the eastern side of the pathway bend at the gap between the ditches and entrance to the meadow at grid reference 57613,18626, to an alternative route commencing from the aforementioned point south of Rockery Farm proceeding along the pathway initially eastwards then southwards on the eastern side of the thicket to the pathway junction north of the gate, then continuing south eastwards adjacent to the northern side of the field fence boundary to the aforementioned point at the meadow entrance where it connects to the unaffected part of Footpath 185 Bowers Gifford & North Benfleet, as shown on the order map.

The alternative routes come into force on 19 September 2019, and the old routes shall be stopped up with effect from 26 September 2019, but if a person aggrieved by either of the orders wants to question their validity, or that of any provision contained in them, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the orders, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from 12 September 2019 make an application to the High Court.
(Castle Road, Rayleigh) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2019

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of Olive Avenue, Benfleet in the Borough of Castle Point, from a point approximately 150m south of its junction with Ormonde Gardens for a distance of approximately 35m in an easterly direction.
2. To temporarily introduce a 'no waiting' restriction in that length of Olive Avenue, Benfleet in the Borough of Castle Point, from a point approximately 150m south of its junction with Ormonde Gardens for a distance of approximately 35m in an easterly direction.
