Footpath (Tyldesley No. 260) Temporary Diversion Notice of Proposals
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assistant Director Infrastructure & Regulatory Services - Places Directorate of the Wigan Borough Council in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and delegated to him by the said Council proposes to make the Wigan Borough (Tyldesley No. 260) (Temporary Diversion) Order 2019. The effect of the Order will that no person shall, except upon the direction or with the permission of a police constable use Tyldesley No. 260 from Point A as shown on the Order Map at grid reference 369833 400374 to Point B as shown on the Order Map at grid reference 370034 400246 for a distance of approximately 240 metres in a generally south easterly direction. An alternative route is available from Point A on the Order Map in a north easterly direction for approximately 60 metres to Point C at grid reference 369867 400425 then easterly to Point D for a distance of approximately 235 metres then southerly to Point B on the Order Map; a total distance of approximately 407 metres. This public footpath will be closed for a period of six months commencing on 19th September 2019.
The Order is necessary for the safety of the public around the site development.
Plank Lane Leigh - Temporary Closure Order 2019 Notice of Making
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assistant Director Infrastructure and Regulatory Services of Wigan Borough Council in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and delegated to him by the said Council has made the Wigan Borough Plank Lane Leigh -Temporary Closure Order 2019.
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person from driving a vehicle or causing or permitting a vehicle to be driven in Plank Lane Leigh on 29/09/2019 The alternative route for traffic is:- Slag Lane - Byrom Lane - Sandy Lane -Newton Road - Atherleigh Way - Firs Lane - Plank Lane The Order is necessary to allow the maintenance checks and repairs to canal swing bridge.
