Temporary Closure Of Footpath 23, Swanage
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended. All pedestrians will be prohibited from proceeding along Footpath No 23, Swanage between grid reference SZ 0209 9340 and grid reference SZ 0164 9445 for a distance of approximately 107 metres. The Notice is needed to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It is currently in operation, and will be extended until Friday 20 March 2020, a period of 26 weeks from the end of the existing closure order. The Notice is required to allow the building of the new houses on the Prospect Farm site.
An alternative route will be signposted around the closure until the works are
completed.
