ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER - SOUTH STREET, BRIGHTON

1. NOTICE is hereby given that Brighton & Hove City Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order pursuant to powers in Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended which when it comes into force will have the following effect:-

(a) Road closure of South Street, Brighton between the junctions of Middle Street to West Street.



(b) During the closure the existing one-way traffic order in the road will



be suspended to maintain access to premises.

2.The Order is necessary to allow contractors for Southern Water to carry out repair works in the carriageway

3. Pedestrian access will be maintained and vehicular access will be via Kings Road(A259), Middle Street, Boyces Street, West Street



4. This Order comes into force on 16th September 2019



for eighteen months or until such sooner time as the works are completed which is estimated to be on

27th September 2019
