CROYDON COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984 SECTION 14, AS AMENDED THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 AND ALL OTHER ENABLING POWERS.
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate bridge repair works, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily:

(a) close to vehicular traffic those streets or lengths of streets specified in the Schedule to this Notice;

(b) close any adjoining streets to those mentioned in the Schedule to vehicular traffic where this is considered necessary to facilitate the work in progress; and

(c) introduce banned turns, footway closures or waiting and loading restrictions at any time should this be required;

(d) any other temporary traffic management measures as required to facilitate the bridge repair works.

2. Wherever the work happens to be in progress in those streets or lengths of streets specified in the Schedule to this Notice, no person may cause or permit any vehicle to:

(a) proceed in a direction other than that indicated by a traffic sign, or

(b) proceed in any street or length of street which may at the time be subject to a road closure until the completion of the work allows.

3. Whilst the provisions of the Order remain in force, waiting or loading by vehicles will be prohibited at any time in those streets or lengths of streets specified where work is in progress. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction on waiting imposed by this Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

4. During the prohibitions referred to in paragraph 2 above, displaced traffic will be diverted via local streets as appropriately signed.

5. The Order will come into operation on the 18 September 2019 and will remain in force for a period of 18 months although it is anticipated the works will be completed within 4 months.

(Note: The provisions of the Order will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs, Regulations and General Directions 2002. Access for frontagers will be maintained as far as possible whilst the work proceeds).

THE LONDON BOROUGH OF CROYDON ACTING IN ITS CAPACITY AS A LOCAL HIGHWAY AUTHORITY hereby gives notice of the proposal to make an Order under section 257 of the above Act entitled Cherry Orchard Road authorising the stopping up of public footpath 849 shown edged in a dashed blue line on drawing reference number 003801 -CON-ZZ-XX-DR-C-3610 Revision P1 which begins at the east footway of Cherry Orchard Road and runs for approximately 12 metres south east to Cherry Orchard Gardens to enable the development described in the schedule to this Notice to be carried out in accordance with planning permission granted on 10 May 2019 to Mr. James Cook, GLHearn, 280 High Holborn, London WC1V 7EE planning reference 17/05046/FUL.

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council, proposes to make the above Traffic Orders under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and all other enabling powers.

2. The general effect of the Order would be to introduce "at any time" double yellow line waiting restrictions in the lengths of streets specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice, a single yellow line in the length of street specified in Schedule 2 to this Notice and loading restrictions in the location specified in Schedule 3 to this Notice.

3. A copy of the proposed Order and all related documents can be inspected until the last day of a period of six weeks beginning with the date on which the Order was made or, as the case may be, the Council decides not to make the Order, from 9am to 4pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive at the Enquiry Counter, "Access Croydon" Facility, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA.

These measures are intended to address all or some of the following situations: improve safety by providing increased visibility, especially at junctions and on bends; prevent obstructive parking so that turning vehicles have sufficient manoeuvrability and improve access for all road users, especially pedestrians, cyclists, emergency and public service vehicles.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate repair works to a telecom mast and cabinet, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic movements in Greenview Avenue, Croydon.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed in Greenview Avenue at its junction with The Glade.

3. Whilst the closure remains in force the alternative route for diverted traffic will be via local streets as appropriately signed.

4. The Order will come into operation on 25 September 2019 and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out in 1 day. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required. The prohibitions will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.
