Plank Lane Leigh - Temporary Closure Order 2019 Notice of Proposals NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assistant Director Infrastructure and Regulatory Services of the Wigan Borough Council in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and delegated to him by the said Council proposes to make the Wigan Borough Plank Lane Leigh Temporary Closure Order 2019. The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person from driving a vehicle or causing or permitting a vehicle to be driven in Plank Lane Leigh during the period of 29/09/2019.
The alternative route for traffic is:- Slag Lane -
Byrom Lane - Sandy Lane - Newton Road -
Atherleigh Way - Firs Lane - Plank Lane
The Order is necessary to allow the maintenance
checks and repairs to the canal swing bridge.
