Temporary Traffic Management Order Various Roads, Purbeck
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make a Temporary Traffic Management Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in orderto comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will be in operation from 23rd August 2019 until 21st September 2019, a period of 29 days. The order is to allow Perenco safe access to carry out geological surveys of the sub surface of various sites throughout Purbeckto assess the possibility of future commercial oil reserves. Road closures will be in force on the following roads:-
[a] Sandy Hill Lane from approximately outside Knaveswell Farm to the road leading to Little Woolgarston will be closed from 16th September - 21st September. [b] Tabbits's Hill Ln from the junction with Woolgarston to A351 Valley Road will be closed between 17th September - 21st September. [c] Bushey Lane from the junction with Breaches Lane to approximately outside Higher Bushey Farm will be closed between 17th September - 21st September. [d]. Access Road to Burnbake Campsite from the junction with Breaches Lane between 17th September 2019
- 21st September. [e] Chapel Lane from the junction with New Lane to the junction with Bushey Lane between 17th September - 21st September. [f] Thrashers Lane from junction with B3351 to approximately outside Thrasher's Heath Cottage between 12th September- 15th September. [g] Meadus Lane from the junction with B3351 to approximately 150 metres north of Bushey Lane between 12th September

- 15th September.. [h] Haycraft Lane between the junctions of the A351 and B3069 between 17th September - 21st September. [i] Renscombe Road from the junction with Bonvils Road to approximately outside Renscombe Farm between 12th September- 15th September. [j] West Street from the junction of South Street to approximately outside Orchard Hill Farm between 9th September - 10th September (western) 12th September - 14th September (eastern). [k] Bradle Farm Lane from the junction with West Orchard Lane to the junction with Devils Staircase between 29th August - 1st September (western) & 5th September - 7th September (eastern). [l] Unnamed Road from the junction of West Orchard Lane to Barnston Crossroads between 5th September- 7th September. [m] Unnamed Road from Barnston Crossroads to the junction with Furzebrook Road between 5th September - 7th September. [n] Devils Staircase from outside the Old Parsonage to North Egliston Road between 29th August 2019 - 30th August 2019. [o] Unnamed Road from the junction with Grange Hill to North Egliston Road from 26th August 2019 - 27th August 2019. [p] Unnamed Road Devils Staircase to Barnston Crossroads from 28th August - 1st September. [q] Church Knowle Road from the junction with A351 to Barnston Crossroads from 9th September- 12th September. [r] Lulworth Range Road from the junction with Grange Hill from 23rd August - 25th August. [s] Unnamed Road from the junction with Lulworth Range Road leading to Tyneham from 23rd August - 25th August. [t] Povington Lane from the junction with Grange Hill from 26th August - 27th August. [u] Creech Barrow Road from the junction with Grange Hill to East Creech Road from 29th August - 30th August. [v] East Creech from the junction with Creech Barrow Road to East Farm Road from 2nd September
- 4th September. [w] East Farm Road from the junction with East Creech Road to the junction with Cotness Road from 3rd September 4th September. [x] Cotness Road from the junction with East Farm Road to the junction with Grange Road from 29th August - 1st September. [y] Soldiers Road from the junction with the A351 from 5th September - 6th September. [z] Unnamed Road between Steeple and Tyneham from 23rd August - 25th August. [ai] Sandy Hill near East Street, Corfe Castle from 12th September - 14th September.

Please note the closures will be in operation, as and when indicated by signs on site. Advanced warning signs will be placed on the road in advance of the closure to indicate the exact dates the closure will affect the road. All works carried out in the summer holidays will be carried out overnight.

Temporary 40 mph Speed Restriction - A351, Wareham By-Pass
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not lessthan seven days from the date of this notice, to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The order is needed to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which requirethe provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of dangerto Highway Users. The order will come into operation on Monday 09 September 2019 and will remain in force for 18 months. It is anticipated that the works will be completed by Easter 2020. The order is to create a safer working area for Dorset Council operatives during works to widen the existing footway to form a shared foot / cycleway on the A351, Wareham by-pass between the Worgret and Saxon roundabouts. The effect of the order is as follows:
[1] To impose a 40 mph speed limit on the A351, Wareham by-pass between the Worgret and Saxon roundabouts, a distance of approximately 1,200 metres. Please note that, although preliminary verge works will begin on this scheme in September, no works will be permitted that restricts the A351 carriageway whilst the Sandbanks / Studland Ferry is suspended.
