THE HERTFORDSHIRE (TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN VARIOUS ROADS IN BUSHEY AND WATFORD) ORDER 2019
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
1. that length of Bushey Mill Lane, Bushey/Watford from its junction with Mill Way north westwards for a distance of approximately 560 metres. An alternative route will be via Bushey Mill Lane, Park Avenue, Link Road and Radlett Road.
2. that length of Bellmount Wood Avenue, Watford from its junction with Cassiobury Drive south westwards and south eastwards to its junction with Langley Way, a distance of approximately 440 metres. An alternative route will be via Cassiobury Drive and Langley Way.
3. that length of Cassiobury Drive, Watford from its junction with the Langley Way roundabout north westwards and north eastwards for its entire length. There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
4. that length of Radlett Road, Watford from its junction with the Orphanage Road roundabout south westwards, north westwards and south westwards to its junction with Queens Road, a distance of approximately 504 metres. An alternative route will be via Radlett Road, Bushey Mill Lane, A412 St Albans Road, Station Road, Clarendon Road, A411 Beechen Grove, Loates Lane, Lord Street, Queens Road The Broadway and Queens Road or via Queens Road, Wioodford Road, Station Road, A412 St Albans Road, Bushey Mill Lane and Radlett Road. 5. that length of Ebury Road, Watford from its junction with Radlett Road south eastwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 2 September 2019 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads. 1. that length of Burton Avenue, Watford from its junction with Durban Road West southwards and south eastwards to its junction with Whippendell Road, a distance of approximately 134 metres. An alternative route will be via Durban Road West, Southsea Avenue and Whippendell Road.
2. that length of Southsea Avenue, Watford from its junction with Durban Road West southwards and south eastwards to its junction with Whippendell Road, a distance of approximately 204 metres. An alternative route will be via Durban Road West, Burton Avenue and Whippendell Road.
3. that length of Durban Road West, Watford from its junction with Mildred Avenue eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with Whippendell Road, a distance of approximately 324 metres. An alternative route will be via Mildred Avenue, Harwoods Road and Whippendell Road.
4. that length of Durban Road East, Watford from its junction with Whippendell Road south eastwards for its entire length. There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
5. that length of Chester Road, Watford from its junction with Addiscombe Road south westwards to its junction with Harwoods Road, a distance of approximately 435 metres. An alternative route will be via Addiscombe Road, Whippendell Road and Harwoods Road.
6. that length of Pretoria Road, Watford from its junction with Chester Road south eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with Durban Road East, a distance of approximately 163 metres. An alternative route will be via Chester Road and Durban Road East.
7. that length of Kensington Avenue, Watford from its junction with Harwoods Road south westwards to its junction with Queens Avenue, a distance of approximately 326 metres. An alternative route will be via Harwoods Road, A412 Rickmansworth Road, Hagden Lane, Mildred Avenue and Queens Avenue.
8. that length of Kings Avenue, Watford from its junction with Harwoods Road south westwards to its junction with Queens Avenue, a distance of approximately 332 metres.
An alternative route will be via Harwoods Road, Kensington Avenue and Queens Avenue.
The Order is needed because drainage works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 3 September 2019 for a period of up to 18 months. THE HERTFORDSHIRE (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE SERVICE ROAD FRONTING NOS.2-46 SHIRE LANE, CHORLEYWOOD) ORDER 2019
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the service road fronting Nos.2-46 Shire Lane, Chorleywood from a point in line with the eastern boundary of No.32 Shire Lane south westwards for a distance of approximately 90 metres (“the Road”), except for access. An alternative route will be via the service road fronting Nos.2-46 Shire Lane, Shire Lane and the service road fronting Nos.2-46 Shire Lane. NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of The Green, Croxley Green from a point in line with the southern boundary of No.12 Dugdales north eastwards and northwards for a distance of approximately 210 metres (“the Road”), except for access. NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedal cycles from using the cycle lane situated on the west side of A412 St Albans Road, Watford from its junction with Terrace Gardens north eastwards to its junction with Bedford Street (“the Cycle Lane”), a distance of approximately 235 metres. An alternative route will be via A412 St Albans Road. The Order is needed because utility service installation works are proposed to be executed on or near the Cycle Lane. NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Solesbridge Lane, Chorleywood from a point 120 metres north east of its junction with A404 Rickmansworth Road north eastwards for a distance of approximately 429 metres (“the Road”), except for access. An alternative route will be via Solesbridge Lane, A404 (Rickmansworth Road/ Chorleywood Road), A412 (Park Road/Scots Hill), The Green, Sarratt Road and Solesbridge Lane. The Order is needed because the replacement of existing gas mains is proposed to be executed on or near the Road. 1. that length of Harefield Road, Rickmansworth from a point in line with the northern boundary of ‘White Gates’ south eastwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 349 metres. An alternative route will be via Harefield Road, A404 (Church Street/ Riverside Drive), A412 (Uxbridge Road/Denham Way/North Orbital Road), Moorfield Road, Moorhall Road, Harvil Road, Church Hill, Rickmansworth Road and Harefield Road.
2. that length of Woodcock Hill, Rickmansworth from its junction with Harefield Road south eastwards for a distance of approximately 100 metres. An alternative route will be via Harefield Road, A404 (Church Street/ Riverside Drive), A412 (Uxbridge Road/Denham Way/North Orbital Road), Moorfield Road, Moorhall Road, Harvil Road, Church Hill, Breakspear Road North, Northwood Road, Shrubs Road and Woodcock Hill.
The Order is needed because tree cutting and overhead cabling works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 2 September 2019 for a period of up to 18 months. NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of A411 Chalk Hill, Oxhey and A411 (London Road/High Street/Sparrows Herne), Bushey from its junction with A4008 Aldenham Road eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with A411 Elstree Road (“the length of Roads”), a distance of approximately 2796 metres. NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council in order to improve road safety, proposes under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to introduce waiting restrictions in parts of Rickmansworth, as specified in the Schedule to this Notice.
