A303 TRUNK ROAD AND A338 (PARKHOUSE CROSS) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that Highways England Company Limited has made an Order on the A303 Trunk Road and A338 in the County of Hampshire and the Unitary Authority of Wiltshire, under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because works are proposed to be executed on the road. The effect of the Order is to authorise in phases:-

1. the overnight closure of -
(a) both carriageways of the A338 between a point 355 metres north of the centreline of the junction with the slip roads leading to and from the eastbound carriageway of the A303 and a point 95 metres south of the centreline of the A303 overbridge; and
(b) the road leading from the eastbound carriageway of the A303 at Parkhouse Cross Interchange.

2. the 24-hour closure of the road leading to the eastbound carriageway of the A303 at Parkhouse Cross Interchange.

These measures are in the interests of road safety while contractors undertake junction widening, highways maintenance works and all associated works.
It is expected that the work will last for approximately 7 weeks starting on or after Tuesday 27th August 2019. The overnight closures will take place between 22:00 and 06:00 (maximum period).
The Order will come into force on 25th August 2019 and have a maximum
duration of eighteen months
Traffic affected by the closures will be diverted using A303, A338, A343, A3026, B3084, Porton Road, Solstice Park Avenue, Wiremead Lane and an unnamed road. The diversion route will vary depending on the closure in force.
The temporary closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs when they are in operation during the works period.
