Temporary Closure of Batcombe Lane, Chetnole
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along BATCOMBE LANE, CHETNOLE between its junction with Stockwood Road to St Peters Church, a distance of approximately 560 metres. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 19 August 2019 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 20 September 2019. This Order will enable Wessex Water, safe access to replace an ageing water main through Chetnole.
An alternative route will be signed using: Stockwood Road - A37 - Common Lane -Cuckoo Hill - Chetnole Road - Yetminster Road.

Temporary Closure of Barnes Way, Dorchester
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Barnes Way, Dorchester between Barnes Way and the access road to St Osmunds Middle School/Manor Park First School, a distance of approximately 95 metres. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 19 August 2019 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 30 August 2019.
This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out highway improvement works for
safer route to schools.
A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.
